At a rally on Saturday, he said he had once told a leader he would not protect a nation behind on its payments, and would "encourage" the aggressors to "do whatever the hell they want". The White House called the comments "appalling and unhinged". Trump is only 3 years junior to Trump and increasingly deranged. Quite a pair aren't they but I credit Biden on the economy and his experience. I'm pleased, but surprised, that you are encouraging much more spending on defence - it is much needed.

It wouldn't surprise me and quite a sneaky move by the Democrats if true. She is photogenic and good with the PR however she has not run for dogcatcher so her only political experience is watching her husband. If she had announced her intention to run early it would have given the republicans plenty of time to show up her faults (I presume she has them). Instead by arriving late as a white knight she can ride the wave of ra ra Michelle without undergoing the relentless scrutiny that Trump and to Biden have had to go through. The only question is does she want to run, if she does she will win. I have always thought that Biden’s candidacy to be a stalking horse, drawing out the ire and character assassination tactics that are the hallmarks of the Trump era Republicans to him whilst the actual candidate waits quietly. Who that will be I have no idea. My preference is for Gavin Newsom, but it could be Kamala Harris. She would though carry more easily targeted baggage. Michelle Obama seems a long shot to me, although in the crazy world of US politics anything is possible. It all depends on whether she is perceived as just a mouthpiece for Barack and all the critical decisions are really being taken by him. He would have to be given an official role, possibly Chief of Staff. Whoever and whatever keeps Trump out of the White House works for me. After yesterday’s stupidity on NATO I bet there are a few more in parts of Eastern Europe who feel the same way.
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |

Hilary Clinton has now put the boot in on Biden's age. It would appear that the Democrats are stepping up their campaign to ditch sleepy Joe. Expect to see more senior Democrats come out against him and potential replacements rear their heads in the next few weeks.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |
