Oh my….. I’m sure you don’t really believe that? I hope Donald uses a similar defense that he only kept his for Melania’s bedtime reading!! Trump obstructed the investigation and refused to return anything. Even the investigator acknowledged there was no comparison and he was a political appointee. Trump can try the same defence. It wouldn’t succeed because it would just be another lie.

And Joe blaming staffers is not another lie or maybe he truly can’t remember how they got there? If the last week is anything to go by, the whole political eco structure here might self combust by November!

Or his staff did by accident overlook the classification of some among the thousands retained which when discovered were immediately returned and the investigation into what happened cooperated with and not obstructed. Yes, and out of the entire country his garage was the best storage space they could find. Sounds likely.

I heard that this 'cooperation' claim wasn't even true.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The longstanding concerns about President Joe Biden’s age and memory intensified on Thursday after the release of a special counsel’s report investigating his possession of classified documents. The report described the 81-year-old Democrat’s memory as “hazy,” “fuzzy,” “faulty,” “poor” and having “significant limitations.” It noted that Biden could not recall defining milestones in his own life such as when his son Beau died or when he served as vice president. Biden responded that his memory is fine and you can check that with Mitterand the German president of NATO

Biden was upset that the Special Prosecutor commented on his son's death. However it has since been pointed out that Biden frequently cites his son's death on the campaign trail as a political point ergo it is fair game for his opponents. I don't remember Brown or Cameron making political capital out of their tragedies and neither did the opposition to their credit.

The SP is not Biden's opponent, he was basically pointing out Biden's frail cognitive state, his son being one of several things he couldn't remember, like his time as Vice President

There is a rumour that Biden will declare himself out of the running for the Presidency soon and that Michelle Obama could stand.

It wouldn't surprise me and quite a sneaky move by the Democrats if true. She is photogenic and good with the PR however she has not run for dogcatcher so her only political experience is watching her husband. If she had announced her intention to run early it would have given the republicans plenty of time to show up her faults (I presume she has them). Instead by arriving late as a white knight she can ride the wave of ra ra Michelle without undergoing the relentless scrutiny that Trump and to Biden have had to go through. The only question is does she want to run, if she does she will win.

Donald Trump has said he would "encourage" Russia to attack any Nato member that fails to pay its bills as part of the Western military alliance. At a rally on Saturday, he said he had once told a leader he would not protect a nation behind on its payments, and would "encourage" the aggressors to "do whatever the hell they want". The White House called the comments "appalling and unhinged". Trump is only 3 years junior to Trump and increasingly deranged. Quite a pair aren't they but I credit Biden on the economy and his experience.
