The 2 year comment tells you the restrictions and pointless testing is planned for at least another year. Or is it two from now? Oh well, at least everyone overweight, with bad health or just gets overweight and unhealthy if they don’t move around to burn off the surplus calories and sugar and fat has had plenty of time to eat, drink and rest sat still more, not go to the GP or hospital. At least in today’s digital world we have an idea of who was in favour of this when they turn out to be damaging after they were warned of it. Edited by Rudi Hedman (22 Aug 2020 12.37pm)

Furlough system abused. I think I said at the time I expected widespread abuse of the system.

But you claimed up front and then claims get checked You could work part time from 1 July and still be furloughed so the 15 hours point may be mal-information.. I can’t say I trust The Mail on Sunday or The Sun Edited by Mapletree (23 Aug 2020 10.24am)

It would mainly be key worker places like supermarkets. What wasn’t allowed was obviously employers claiming furlough while having and making their staff work. Some were at home so unnoticed. Also self employed working and claiming. If it’s cash work then it won’t be found. If cheque or bank transfer then they could get caught.

‘ The study, involving 9,000 workers, found not only was the ban on working "routinely ignored" but furlough staff worked on average 15 hours a week, men on higher salaries were more likely to work and a fifth of staff were ordered to continue working by their bosses.’ I can see how this would happen and the logic of it rather than the worker have a big drop in pay, the work that was there that maybe wasn’t as much and as much profit not get done and possibly the company suffer as well.

Anti mask protest in Dublin. Mainstream press calls them far right. I fail to see any far right figures there, but if you go against the accepted narrative at all you are now far right. But this one, for me, takes the bacon. Spot those fascists everyone.
