Edited by OneMax (23 May 2021 10.48am) that's a very bold statement

In fairness to Dyche, Burnley have a far smaller budget - their starters are more equivalent to bench players for us. He's forced to play that style, it'd be madness to do anything else. If Dyche got as much out of our players at our budget as he does out of Burnley's at theirs, we'd be far higher up the league. Burnley salaries: [Link] My personal top three are probably Dyche, Cooper & T.Frank. Whoever wins the final won't leave. All have shown consistency in results without flashing the cash. Dyche pips it for having the Prem experience. Lampard doesn't convince me, he has no relevant experience. Parker may have been further up the list if Fulham hadn't fallen away quite so hard. I feel uncomfortable about Howe and can't put my finger on why - potentially him turning us down before, potentially how bad they've been in the transfer market.

Love him or hate him I personally for one would like to see Frank Lampard come in. With his ties to Chelsea and the rumours that floated around a while ago that if he came in he would be given a 50mil war chest, I think it could be an exciting time with him at the helm. I read an article yesterday, (how true it is, is another thing) that if he were to come to Palace that his main targets would be Abraham and Gilmour. Players would see us as a much more attractive choice should Lamps be in charge. Guaita Yeah we might struggle or we could flourish.

Suppose Swansea win play off final and are promoted, why would he come to Palace?? In that scenario, perhaps we should target Thomas Frank??
In other words, newly promoted clubs usually go down again within 2 seasons of promotion. Cooper may have decided (or may decide) that his future is better with a team going into its 9th consecutive PL season with an existing PL squad than risk staying with Swansea. I really want to believe that a war chest of £50m is available, although I have my doubts. If it were, then Chelsea apparently want £40m for Abraham - that's the budget nearly blown on one player if we were to go in for him. If the media are on the right track, it appears that Lampard considers the job too risky. I can understand that but I would want someone coming in that believes they can rise to the challenges the job presents.

Not so much so the subsequent post on here 15 minutes later from one of our ‘contributors’... A) Confirming that the details are correct. and B) That they had been ITK for some time but were just sitting on the information.
