The Tories only have themselves to blame. They put up a poor candidate for Mayor and he still did okay, so if they had put up a decent name who knows maybe we could have been rid of Sad Dick.

Londoners are healthier and have a better environment thanks to Khan. I don't think Johnson or Khan could do much on crime except support the police who themselves are blaming increased crime on austerity cuts. Stabbings are a nightmare there were 109 in 2016 with Johnson but its not as though he committed them himself. Clean and green Khan has done well but I hope for a lot more from Labour. The sooner we have a labour government the sooner we can address those issues.

The sooner we have a labour government the sooner we can address those issues. Crime and the number of murders fell dramatically during Boris Johnson’s tenure as Mayor. In London, the homicide rate - murder, manslaughter and infanticide - fell 50%. In terms of a Labour Government you might have to wait quite a while, it is not written in the stars that the bland,charmless Starmer will be victorious at the next election, it is certainly not an inevitability.

The very fact that Sadiq Khan would rather a Malawian be on the fourth plinth than our late Queen who dedicated her life to this country tells you everything about the ghastly Mayor and how he views our great nation.
