He had no need to invade during Trump’s term and would have faced very little resistance in a second if he had achieved it, or successfully stolen it. Europe....though Russia is also European....has nukes so talk of Russia invading countries with nukes is pure scare mongering. Hence defence spending isn't going to increase significantly, regardless of the noises coming from the talking heads....amusingly they are talking....just talking mind...about raising defence spending from 2.1 percent to 2.5 percent. Turns out people like their pensions and welfare and parties like getting re-elected. However, Putin doesn't have to worry about that and Russia is at war economy levels and is spending 40 percent of GDP on war production. The reality of course is that Russia won't be fighting this war beyond Ukraine for several reasons....not least that running at war economy levels is extremely damaging long term. Listening to what Putin says he wants a demilitarised buffer zone in Ukraine out of long distance missile range between his new territories and the west. So Russia are planning on fighting in Ukraine for at least another year....depending upon Ukraine's ability to fight them. What is important is that none of these fools let things get out of hand. I think someone needs to tell Joe he is actually the incumbent president. People are getting sick of every problem in the US being Trumps fault. If god forbids he does find the votes for reelection it will be another 4 years of utter nonsense.

If Biden wins the election it'll be purely down to 'fortification'.....which is basically gaming the system. Both parties are going to do it, however the Democrats have just let ten million illegals into the country and they are going to cheat on everything they possibly can to avoid Trump. They have zero principles and....well to be honest when I look at the US all I see is the decline of Rome on fast forward. That's not good for us but there you go....we are in an era of the double down and escalation and that's just how it is.
