As has been said many times before how many times over the last few years has the manager been proven wrong regarding young players ? He even encouraged the club to pull United's pants down over Bissaka knowing he wouldn't see a penny spent on the squad. Personally I've been pretty disappointed with what I've seen so far given some of the hype. Ozoh looks as though he may be good enough. I was happy when he was introduced against Brighton but far from reinforcing us he looked like he was chasing shadows. The others don't look good enough at protecting the ball. May show the odd flash but lose the ball cheaply too often. The argument that Schlupp and Hughes aren't pulling up trees is fair but you can't make a truly convincing argument for the young players to come in in their place IMO. Roy needs to go now! This is beyond a joke. If we win vs Sheff Utd the problem still remains the same and we're more than likely to lose vs Brighton and Chelsea. The fans have had enough, the players are bored with his defensive/rigid system that doesn't allow for creating chances and you can just tell the belief is going/gone out of Roy. A new manager bounce is what we need before it's all too late.

I totally agree although unfortunately I think there is zero chance of us losing to sheff United which is what needs to happen if we can finally get rid of him. Parish is looking for an excuse to keep him till the end of the season. So that he can spend all summer making it look like he is trying to find a manager to appoint Southgate right at the end of the summer after the euros. Think it will be as bad an appointment as Hodgson personally but I think it’s almost certain it will happen. Seen pepole mention fonseca. There is absolutely no chance he will come to palace with parish running things the way he does.

Watched them drew with West Ham and their main weapons are crosses and corners into our box. Got it...

There will always be managers that are chancers but I doubt any decent manager will take on Palace whilst there appears to be turmoil in the boardroom.

The right manager is not always the obvious one for smaller clubs. Silva has been great at Fulham but when his name was mentioned with us in the past it was a big no from the fans due to his previous failures. Frank was an assistant at Brentford. De Zerbi was an unknown quantity managing in Ukraine. Having said all that I don't see Parish making a leftfield appointment. As to who would want the job, I would imagine there's a long list as the opportunity to prove yourself in the PL is a big attraction especially with the money on offer. The thing is, most of us only know the big names. There's probably some great managers at mid-level Italian, Portuguese and French clubs, for example.

As I've said several times IMO Ozoh did a good job when he replaced the injured Ward at the Etihad - even Hodgson praised him for that but then promptly benched him for the Brighton game in favour of Hughes who had to be taken off because he was a red card waiting to happen after an early 2nd half yellow. We all know that Hughes is little better than a carthorse when it comes to speed of foot and thought but Hodgson persists in using him.
