And every 5 years none of the parties had removing the UK from the EU as part of their plans if they were elected. That is why the public didn’t get a chance to voice their objections. Every EU treaty, every expansion, every political addition to the EU’s power was never put to the public as a good idea by the political parties. So forgive me if I don’t agree that your form of democracy works best for the public. Parliament was either totally out of touch with public fears or it chose to deliberately ignore them.

Untrue. UKIP did and they got how many MPs?

That’s right. None.

The major parties didn’t include it for the very simple reason that they didn’t believe in it. They still don’t.

That’s why we have representatives. To use their knowledge, time and debates to understand complicated issues better than we can. We pay them to look after our interests. Not to give us what we want.

Which is why referendums should never be used to determine policy. We end up getting what the winds of chance say is what we want at one single moment in time, after we have been fed the kind of false promises we are suffering from now.

Are you suggesting that all globalists are Jewish?

I'm not really interested in their religious beliefs myself.

Globalism is all about power and money.

'Cooperation' is a euphemism for political influence, expanding markets, cheap labour and more profit.

I’m not but try reading The Jewish Chronicle on this subject.

Cooperation means exactly what it says. Only conspiracy theorists see any euphemisms.

Congratulations! You have both proved my point and confirmed my suspicion that you like to be told what to do (hence your undying love for the EU).
UKIP only existed because the major parties did not want to discuss leaving the EU. 40 years of neglect of the publics concerns as I suggested. They forced the other parties to discuss it.
I think most of us take immense offence at not being able to understand things and only elected officials can. Absolute b)llocks!
And you have confirmed that you think that they know better than us, I am surprised that you think that we should have the vote at all; what do we know about such important things? Just let them get on with it and we will bow and doff our hats at their superiority!
My concerns that you are either in a care home with limited access to medication, or that you are an AI bot remain.

hats off to palace, they were always gonna be louder, and hate to say it but they were impressive ALL bouncing and singing.

Trump is about the least anti-Semitic you can get. Goes cap in hand to rich Jewish donors like nobodies business....being quite successful at it too.

Let his smoking hot daughter marry one......Mind you the one she choose is a right turd.

I wait for the day that a US president removes the immense and corrupt foreign influence enacted upon the US.

But that won't come from Trump or Biden.

You shouldn't, it's just a fact.

Why would an average person have any proper understanding of trade agreements or economic models? Most of the MPs don't even understand it these days, never mind members of the public.

If it's not clear, I include myself in that 'average person who doesn't understand everything' - it shouldn't be controversial to say most people don't understand many of these topics.

Serious Q? Are you old enough to vote?

Bearing in mind you have revealed you are 'young' just asking

Why are you so concerned with my age?

If you’re looking to find kids to chat with online I’m sure there’s better platforms for your hobby than here.

What I understand is that in the early seventies we joined a free trade association of western democratic European countries (9, I believe). A free trade association; nothing more than that. We had a vote on it.
What we left was not.
I would like to think that if you joined a club that you would like to have a chance to question or leave if the parameters of membership changed. That's all the public were asking for during the 4 decades of membership.

That doesn’t remotely respond to my post, which is not specific to Brexit or the EU.

You suggested you find it immensely offensive that you might not understand everything that an economic advisor does, for example. I’m just pointing out that’s a fact of life and nothing to be offended about.

Thanks for clarifying. I understand and accept your point. But I would still like to question so that I may understand better; it's not being allowed to question which is of concern.
