That’s right. None. The major parties didn’t include it for the very simple reason that they didn’t believe in it. They still don’t. That’s why we have representatives. To use their knowledge, time and debates to understand complicated issues better than we can. We pay them to look after our interests. Not to give us what we want. Which is why referendums should never be used to determine policy. We end up getting what the winds of chance say is what we want at one single moment in time, after we have been fed the kind of false promises we are suffering from now.

'Cooperation' is a euphemism for political influence, expanding markets, cheap labour and more profit. I’m not but try reading The Jewish Chronicle on this subject. Cooperation means exactly what it says. Only conspiracy theorists see any euphemisms.

What I understand is that in the early seventies we joined a free trade association of western democratic European countries (9, I believe). A free trade association; nothing more than that. We had a vote on it.
