I don't believe there's a willing wealthy buyer out there

You forgot 'only 10 minutes from Penge' there too.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

I know the song.

Reminds me of '24 hours from Tulsa' or was it Tulse Hill ?

I can't help but think that Everton have got the right man for the job. Leeds look in trouble now. Southampton not great. Kind of leaves us as a possibility along with Bournemouth, Forest. This could be a real skin of the teeth season. Goal difference or one or two points. I tend to think teams like Wolves, West Ham are just still slightly better than us over a season. In the league overall the amount of good teams, with shrewd or willing investors, is a problem. There are what 8? teams we can't really aspire to match when you consider their current status. I guess we can aspire to mid table - which, in fairness, we've pretty much almost had. I have to find it disappointing and almost sacrilegious to think that somehow Brentford and Brighton are now better than us - again showing our vulnerability for relegation. There just aren't that many candidates for relegation now but we're certainly one.

Nottm Forest have made the 'City Ground' a fortress only losing 3 PL games out of 11 at home.Their last defeat at 'Home' was 8 games ago. They have a very good manager and I would not be surprised to see them survive the dreaded drop.

In respect of the teams below us, I simply do not envisage, Leicester, Wolves or W.Ham plunging through the relegation 'Trapdoor'.

Should we finish as low as 16th supporters will of course be delighted that we have remained the PL,however I suspect this might not be acceptable to whole swathes on the basis we finished 12th last season and 16th would be our lowest finish in the PL since we returned in season 2013-14.
There will be some alarm about the direction of travel.

It's around where I see us: 16th, 17th perhaps. Poor but not down.

No change of manager, relegation certain
