There was some money but the asking prices may have been higher than the board were prepared to spend. We might find out in January, they’re going to have to evolve the team properly when Zaha goes because relegation is certain if they don’t, extend Benteke ( play Ward at RB, let the team and squad age, etc etc etc.

Overall he has steered Palace into a very good place which has required a huge amount of skill. Inevitably to move us upwards from our current status will require way more money than he currently has. Parish’s first attempt to secure this has now failed. For all our sakes I hope he can find a new investor who is happy to back him to take us onwards and upwards. I have made the point a few times already in this thread that I can't see this happening as the sort of people who are willing and able to fund the club to the next level will probably want 100% control and I can't see Parish giving up his high profile position as a Premier Football Club chairman

There was an interesting interview with Dougie Freedman where he stated that they didn't replace AWB as the prices quoted were too high yet he didn't seem to realise or appreciate that it was partly Palace's fault for pushing the bar upwards with the £50m sale of our right back

Hard to envisage a deal that would have to suit all parties necessary to be involved.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Parish has just tweeted The Mail shouldn’t have used a title saying he’s telling owners how to run a football club but how to save owners from themselves, which is a fair claim. Usual tweets follow. I don’t disagree with any of it apart from the bit that describes our last administration and takeover. Not really how it HAD TO happen. Smart, but it was 2010’s choice.

Parish & Co wanted 100% ownership and although I don't blame them for that it's exactly that reason that makes it difficult to sell a shareholding in the club now as any billionaire is likely to want exactly the same

Has anyone listened to the HLTCO podcast with Parish? I'm not a subscriber so haven't heard it, but was wondering if anything interesting was said. I know I could subscribe but I've already subscribed to The Athletic, not sure I want to keep subscribing to loads of different sites just for the odd podcast.

Lose today really need to question getting a new manager it will show that Roy donesn't know how to play against teams we should be beating and lacks tactical know how for home games. His speaking with media doesn't inspire either stating he plays same way at home then away. plus he said he doesn't know how to create or score more goals again this is poor bring in some other staff that do or have fresh ideas then. Keep playing the same old people and when better layers are put in playing them in wrong way because he doesn't want to change system is poor management. The question is are people happy to be beating the big teams and then keep losing to the smaller ones or teams we should be beating?
