I'd like to think that Roy will have us playing with that intensity in the remaining games, there are points to be had

Remember also that Huddersfield have to play Citeh, Arsenal and Chelsea and today they got stuffed 2-0 at home to a beached Everton team and looked really pretty s***. If I were a Huddersfield fan I'd be bricking it.

I think Huddersfield will go down with Stoke and baggies.

Southampton will pull off the great escape.

They have 3 games left, so could get 42 points. Huddersfield, Brighton, Southampton all have 3 - whilst WHU have 4. You're right in that it's unlikely that we're' caught by all of them - as Stoke and WBA can't catch us, so it's just 18th place that we have to keep an eye on, but we're probably there.

For the pedants (who include me, I remember Oldham) we need 2 points to be mathematically certain of staying up.

Swansea can get 42 and Southampton can get 41. But their game in hand is against each other, so one of them is going to drop at least 2 points. That would put at best (for them) one of them on maximum 39 points.

If Southampton beat Swansea, Swansea’s max is 39
If Swansea beat Southampton, Southampton’s max is 38
If they draw, Southampton’s max is 39.

So 40 points is mathematical safety.

Mathematically we are not safe yet, but statistically we are. Having said that I see no reason why we cant finish with two more wins and not look down but up.
We have averaged over a point a game since Roy took over,if we had that over the first seven games then we would be looking at finishing with 49 points.
So 44 point finish is not out of the question.

Yes, we did in the Championship. I think it was Southend. I know I was at the home one of the two, just can’t remember which. Think it was Southend.

We aren’t safe until we’re safe (I will NEVER forget Oldham or forgive Southampton for their defending that day) and I’d much rather be playing West Brom on 41 points when we really would be safe. Great result yesterday and what an atmosphere.
