I think everyone seems to be forgetting about the loan fee we would have received not only from trabzanspor but from Genk last season. Most players don’t just go on loan for free. We would have received at least £3million if our money back. Not great but not the full on £9million hit everyone seems to think. Need to let it go, all teams make good and bad signings. We took a risk with a foreign player it didn’t work out we move on.

Sorloth only on 20k a week, so think we might be lucky to get 1 million signing on fee.

Sorloth actually cost us £18m. £9m down and £9m in add ons (£3m for each year we stayed up). Terrible deal, irretrievably shyte player. What the hell were we thinking?

(2)2 season loan fee at Trabzonspor is euro 750k(per season?)
(3)At the end of loan period on 30/06/2021 there is an Obligation to buy with conditions
(4)Sorloth is contracted at Palace till 30/06/2022,so we get some money back, or perish the thought, we get him back.
Time to get out the prayer mats, prayer beads et al that he does really well in Turkey, or we will be stuck with a "turkey"
