Can we get back to what the thread is about, and not certain fans continually slagging each other off, and also, some of the stupid posts that have been posted IMO. 1.Whilst we need stability will you be looking for a more experianced Manager who will command the respect of the players and be given time & money to shape his own squad. We also need to keep some of the backroom staff as well. Dougie is one for the future and should be allowed to learn his trade with us, as he does know the club and has the respect of the players. It was also a good move to appoint Steve Kember as Chief Scout.(Possible long term planning) 2.The youth players that we have that have come into the squad have done well. Is it the boards plan to give these players medium to long term contracts to also give us stability and a good long term future. 4.Your comparing our wage bill to Doncaster, Swansea, etc.We are better than that and looking at the division as a whole we are one of the bigger teams (Although you wouldn't think so at the moment).Do you have a wage structure in place that will attract the right sort of players, and maybe reward them for success within in that structure. 5.I know that you are working on this, but how far down the line are you with making the club shop larger and more inviting, with out fans bumping into each other at every turn. Also when i go into shops in Crawley, Horsham, etc,I see other clubs merchandise. What plans are there to possibly get our merchandise into some of these outlets. I know The previous chairman was against this, but I feel that was a big mistake.
We didn't sell Bostock as he left without signing a pro contract, and i don't think we sold Routeledge either.

Why sack Burley two days before a very important match against Preston? What happens if the next manager doesn't do well with such a small squad, will he be sacked as well?

This thread sums up perfectly why I don't like the "open environment" of club management we have entered. I prefer the good old days of a press release and statement. I appreciate what CPFC2010 are doing for the club and think they made the right decision but as owners they don't need to justify themselves to a lot of jumped up idiots and, quite honestly, I wish they wouldn't. I know I'm pretty much alone in THAT thinking. Yeah I sort of agree, it's great that they take the time to talk to us, but some one always has to ruin it! I like the fact that SP took the time to come on here. There were some good questions, and I thought he did a good job answering the ones he chose to. Where I agree with you, Saxon, and Cucking, is when all the stupid comments and bickering started. If that can't be controlled in some way, then it might be for the best that SP does not continue to post.
If you come to a fork in the road, take it. |

This doesn't mean I don't apprecaite what CPFC2010 are trying to achieve at the club and I'm all for open communication but there is a time, a place and a method for it.

Steve Parish was happy to do it this way - I offered to lock the thread, he asked for it to be left open. He can then pick and choose what he wants to answer from everyone's questions as opposed to being presented with a set chosen by somebody. If he's happy doing it like this, I don't see the need for change. Whilst some comments were unnecessary, it's a public forum, we can't start restricting individuals to what and where they can post, unless they're really being dickish. Appreciate where you're coming from, though.

Perhaps very short-term red cards should be introduced in these Q+A's? If someone is clearly affecting the quality/progression of the Q+A, they should be instantly red carded until the Q+A is done or CPFC2010 go offline, where the ban is lifted. The fact that Parish & co come on here and open themelves up to questions is something we should regard, and treat as a privilege and NOT an entitlement, or an opportunity for farsical sniping. Harsh, but it's in the interest of the majority.

This doesn't mean I don't apprecaite what CPFC2010 are trying to achieve at the club and I'm all for open communication but there is a time, a place and a method for it. In some ways I understand people's concerns but at the same time I would say the overwhelming majority of people were reassured or at least in some way pacified by having someone explain the situation. In all honesty, I can't see it creating any problems with concerning ourselves over and if people's responses stop it being a worthwhile exercise for Steve then I assume he won't carry on doing it. All things said, people got the chance to hear directly what those in charge thought about the situation and didn't have to carry on needlessly speculating. I much prefer that to having people arguing on for years about an assumed event happening for an assumed reason!
