Biden seems to want to stand....the argument can be made that he thinks the Democrats can use their control of media, both social and corporate and Trump convictions to win. However, I think he's just suffering from an old man's hubris and unwillingness to exit the stage. It's a strange thing.... on the BBC News every time they mention Hamas for the first time, it is always followed by the statement "which has been declared a terrorist organization by the Government" I've always found this rather odd in a 'covering our backsides' sort of way....

The Democrats aren’t “billing” Trump for anything! The nonsensical idea that courts and juries don’t decide fines but politicians do is simply propaganda spread by Trump and his supporters. Stop swallowing this nonsense being spoon fed to you by conspiracy theorists. The purpose of the fine is to try to stop Trump’s outrageous disregard for the law. He is solely responsible for that. We will have to see if he is actually able to pay it, or if his supposed wealth is another lie and just a bunch of castles build on sand.

I think it's partly the media but also a more general reaction in many cases to being categorised as uneducated and easily led or of being some variety of -ist. What reaction was Hilary Clinton expecting from her "Basket of deplorables" comment? Presumably millions of people to agree to sort their life out, snap out of it and vote for her.

The conspiracy theories, misinformation and propaganda originate these days from the unregulated “alternative” media and are then given oxygen via the internet. I am sure some on the left are guilty of it but by far the most is from the right.
