Presumably Sir Kier Starmer will end this immediately. Definitely, step up Sir Keir. (he won't). Charles the ultimate tory racketeering landlord? Millions not reaching charities as he says? We need to know. For a change, at least hold the monarchy to account.

Fury as David Cameron and Rishi Sunak come under fire after it emerged they'd be jetting to Dubai on different planes - for a vital summit on climate change. "Sending all the wrong signals" to the rest of the world ahead of the Cop28 talks. Do they know which one is the PM at the other end? The one with the Greek statue under his arm?

One needed to take his bike but Ryanair wouldn't let him.

Standard security protocol in case of a plane crash. The bank I worked out no more than 3 seniors were allowed to take the same flight. Quite why these meetings have to be attended around the world is a valid argument. However this will require the consent of all of the attendees to change it. If Sunak said he would zoom it you and The Guardian would be moaning he wasn't taking it seriously.

Brighton Council close to go broke so they blame the Torties. Once again we have a story about a council in deep trouble in this case currently a Labour run council but didn't the Greens run it before them? Anyway I have yet to hear of a council (any party) going bust for the reasons they give which they all seem to copy and paste from the last council they went bust. "government's autumn statement fell 'disastrously short' on meeting inflation costs and rising demand for services." So nothing to do with the council wasting millions on vanity projects then. Nottingham the latest council forgot to mention they set up an energy company that went bust owing millions. I look forward to some sensible analysis of Brighton's spending over the last few years, has it been sensible or have they been chucking money around. We shall see.

It’s easy to blame central hmg but it’s as it’s always been. Fair warning is given and getting Tory bad line on the front page clearly feels like justification. Bin strikes, council strikes etc and giving massive rises to the workers causes this. Should have sub contracted the waste collection to another firm and left them on strike.

Rishi Sunak has been accused of hypocrisy on the international stage after pushing for a phase-out of fossil fuels at the UN Cop28 climate summit in Dubai – weeks after backing more oil and gas exploration in the North Sea. He is an embarrassment.

That might be because they were flying from different places. You are getting worse... If that is possible.

Rishi Sunak has been accused of hypocrisy on the international stage after pushing for a phase-out of fossil fuels at the UN Cop28 climate summit in Dubai – weeks after backing more oil and gas exploration in the North Sea. The prime minister’s lack of “consistency” over climate policy was ridiculed by several senior Conservatives, as well as the former US vice president Al Gore, while members of other international delegations said the UK’s incoherent approach meant it was no longer a global leader on climate issues.
