Social media is awash with anti vax nonsense as it happens, rather than any alternative. As I've clearly stated once tested and available, it's an option. You're not obliged to have it. It's a decision that many will have to make, because clearly if they wait too long they will likely get covid-19 anyway, and despite you declaring yourself mr universe and covid-19 is 'nothing terrible', the reality is that you have little idea how that would affect you either. Edited by BlueJay (14 Aug 2020 9.44pm) You don’t know how fit I am, but thanks for your concern. I’m not anti-vax per se. Just anti something that could be risky via a needle in me. There is no perfect measure. There are now people dying of covid-19 who are excluded from being recognised as dying from covid-19. That is to say that whatever measure is taken will be off to a certain degree. The rest of the UK had a different approach to England. If there was some deep state style conspiracy going on I'm pretty sure they could've done it across the whole of the UK. We broadly know what the numbers are. We have a planet full of data. Viewing any contribution you disagree with as representative of what you've called a 'nation of pussies' or indicative that the country is 'fvcking thick' isn't helpful. People have different perspectives. Yours seem to centre on an angle where any concern about any aspect of this pandemic is either a lie, or indicative that the people of this country are weak or simple minded. This is obviously your way of dealing with the pandemic, but just because something is 'blinding obvious' to you it doesn't actually mean it's some kind of unquestionable fact by default. People like cryrst and others are just decent people with concerns about their family members, not a launch pad to slag the country off every other post. It's a tough time for people, and being fairminded is preferable to condensing everything into such a perpetually unnuanced outlook or using interactions as a way to attack your own country. This is not the time to turn on your country. Edited by BlueJay (14 Aug 2020 10.39pm) I’m not turning on the country. Just something either side of half of it still thinking irrationally. At some point they see this for what it is. Previous eras would look at our bunch in embarrassment.

No concerns for you since you're a fitness freak and covid-19 is 'nothing terrible'. Develop those antibodies naturally, breathe easy.... and good luck. Edited by BlueJay (14 Aug 2020 10.58pm)

At a time like this, her job must be minimum wage hell. How brave, intimidating a young girl obeying the law and trying to create an environment that more people feel comfortable in.
That shop looks like you can easily distance yourself anyway. Either due to queuing or because masks have reduced footfall in non essential retail. I went down to the local shops today. 2 shop owners didn’t wear masks. Popped into Greggs to see if they had any naughty sandwiches. The place was empty and the power crazy woman inside wanted me to follow the route in the shop to get to the fridge where the wraps and toastier were. The place was empty after lunchtime. I just left. Pret was packed inside and out with their relaxed policy. People with masks on walking closely past people on their tables outside. The whole thing is laughable. Everywhere is virtually empty.

And for what it's worth I'd likely not have the Russian vaccine either, since testing appears to be mostly non existent. I have more faith in our science and scientists though can well understand why rationally the over 70s should get first dibs since they are at much more risk.

When I don’t I don’t.

Obviously it was lack of choice but people really got behind him, he is still an old etonian and part of that thousand acre land owning club, school tie nonsense, but does seem to have conned the right wingers in the election, as much as i wouldn"t vote CON, he is probably the best CON pm i could hope for! (apart from being sitting on the fence and trying not to make a decision obvs)

I understand elderly wanting to dive into the vaccine. I will be advising someone to have it. I won’t be.. It’s about risk. I’ve been analysing risk my whole life and having a vaccine in the next several months isn’t in my favour. My body, life and risk.
