Untrue. There are many opinions that I might disagree with but can understand and respect. There are others based on misinformation. Two different things. The word misinformation is branded around way too often.

So if somone has an opinion you dont like or agree with...its misinformed... Two people can see the same evidence, material and information and come up with two different opinions and that is okay. Exactly, but not for all here. I am fine for others to hold differing opinions, problem is when they treat opinions as facts because it suits their narrative.
Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

Fascinating how things are developing in the US with this Texas/Washington stand off over the order to remove the barbed wire from the border. Numerous other States supporting Texas and Trump backing them as well. From a UK POV, the lack of MSM coverage is very telling. This story has the potential to get very nasty, very quickly and if similar were happening in any other large nation, all the talk would be about failed states and possible civil war. Potentially epoch defining events and barely a whisper about it.

The word misinformation is branded around way too often. That’s obviously untrue. Misinformation arises when someone regards something as fact when it isn’t. There’s certainly far too much of that around these days. It results from the growth of unverified information sources pumping out opinions into the minds of willing viewers, readers and listeners. Holding different viewpoints based on agreed facts is completely different and can be respected.

Potentially epoch defining events and barely a whisper about it. The days of relative independence of mainstream outlets are long gone. When you learn about what the truth was you understand that they have always been subject to a level of control but since the emergence of alternative media they have destroyed any pretense of objectivity. So they colour coverage to slant opinion and they keep information they don't want known by its omission. Gonzalo Lira's death in Ukrainian captivity is an obvious recent example. Most normies won't even know about it, however when Russia held that basketball player, whom the Biden administration made great efforts to successfully release, you knew all about it. In Britain we have wall to wall social liberalism despite voting in the country showing a significant and consistent base of around 25 percent who are to the right of mainstream conservatism. Not even the milk toast GBNews represent them properly because they themselves are controlled via Ofcom, which is another political entity directly designed to enforce the values of social liberalism onto networks. Liars to the left of us, liars to the right, liars to the front. Edited by Stirlingsays (26 Jan 2024 8.47am)

The rapid pace of media influencing is totally frightening and needs to be rebalanced before we experience life changing events! Don’t get me started on AI also! This “brainwashing” is especially evident and dangerous in the young. Discussing world events with my honors educated daughter on subjects such as politics, palestine, gender identity, energy independence etc is challenging not specifically because of our difference of opinions but more where she is sighting her source of information to find the truth (social influencers, X etc.) In previous generations we tended to mirror our parents but now rebellion is the new norm! IMHO the world needs to rebalance or our children’s children will be introduced into utter chaos! This is just an opinion!!!

As the armed guard rolls past my front door, it’s walk to wall border crisis on right wing media! On the other numerous left wing media sites not a peep as all on Trumps court case and how his lawyer is being kicked out of court for asking questions!
