Petty, cruel, pathetic, could not possibly be successful.

The Tories.

While this distraction continues there is a 166,000 backlog created by their ineptitude which they have no actual hopes of addressing.

And human trafficking? Prosecutions 50% down in 5 years.

Don't the tories actually need immigration, 0f course they do, they can feed on voters prejudices, it is the only thing they have left, the gutter.

The backlog is down to the politicised and highly inept Home Office who not so long ago were deciding on 14 cases per month per case officer and I believe that ten odd years ago that approx 400 case officers existed.
Today there are more case officers but their rate is down to 4 cases per month.
A poor return not helped by ridiculous left wing liberal lawyers admittedly.
When Labour get in, I feel sure that our left wing civil service will suddenly find a way to leave their houses and up their case closure rate.
What annoys me more is that the Minister doesn't have the guts to call them out!

Wonder if it also occurred when the barge was being used to house migrants in Germany and Holland.

The country needs immigration at the moment. We could not function without it.

Whether we will in the future remains to be seen. If we can find ways to get those who could work, but don’t, to work and to harness the possibilities of AI to our benefit then perhaps not.

What that would do in countries whose people want to come here, and how the global economy will impact it are big unknowns. Climate change is going to also produce migration flows.

All of which puts all politicians in a bind. Acknowledging we need immigration doesn’t win votes. That’s especially true of the Tories who see Farage’s shadow every day looming over their future.

not even if the 5 million unemployed layabouts were made to work?

745k legal net migration last year, which means over a million people arriving here in one year.
This year supposedly 672k net, which means around another million arrivals.

Anyone who thinks this is acceptable is insane.

These are a completely unsustainable numbers which are putting unacceptable strain on our resources and rapidly changing the genetic make up and culture of this country.

This needs to stop and soon.

If the two main parties won't deal with this, then we need someone who will.

In September 2023 the Home Office announced the cost for housing asylum seekers within the U.K. was £8M per day. That is almost £3 Billion per year!

Holy mother of Mary!!!

Along with the impact on our NHS, Education system, Welfare system, Crime & Disorder and Housing situation to name but a few other areas of concern.

Totally out of control and unsustainable.k

It's you who are out of touch. Most people don't care one way or the other, and it seems more are now in favour of increased immigration to fill vacancies than are against it.

I guess you must live somewhere which has been impacted by something and your opinions distorted by it.

Don't make me laugh...my wife has been phoned twice re taking a survey about this or that. After a few trial questions they say that she doesn't fit the profile, so obviously the survey was designed to prove something that my wife probably wouldn't have agreed with.
Ask 20 Labour supporters whether they think the Tory government is doing a good job and you will get the obvious answer. Don't forget that according to surveys there is no way we would vote for Brexit...

hats off to palace, they were always gonna be louder, and hate to say it but they were impressive ALL bouncing and singing.

Statistics aren't prejudices.

You are free to live in your own gutter, however don't expect other people to enjoy nor want your pigsty.
