Forget all this ageism tripe. There is no better option out there, not Potter or Cooper or anyone who doesn’t have Prem experience. Roy should get a 2 year deal and €25m plus funds from sale of Mateta (maybe 10m) to sign a decent striker. If we keep Wilf plus all the top players that the media are suggesting are targets for other clubs, then we can finish 8th. By the way I don’t get peoples’s obsession with a new RB when Ward finished the season in great form and Richards could play there if we were stuck. I would imagine Roy is waiting to see our ambition before committing himself.

You clearly have no ambition or football knowledge that would be awful. Got nothing to do with age. Long term Hodgson is not good enough. Also definitely won’t take us to next level. Unfortunately I think we’re stuck with him for another year which will be bad enough

1 yes I have ambition I fancy us for 8th. 2 what is long term ? Most managers outside top 4 only last 2 years and Roy can handle that. 3 of course he can take us to the next level he just passed the ‘audition’ in the last 10 games with top 8 form. He has proven if given decent players he knows how to get the best out of them.

You clearly have no knowledge of anything

Guess what - it wouldn't be a long term appointment.

Next Level ? You bang on about it without actually defining what that actually is.

My personal opinion is that it's more a process than an outcome. Increase quality of recruitment and coaching of the Academy , plus keeping the spine of the team strong and healthy, plus a few key buying and selling and bingo, we'll become London's Brighton!

There’s every chance it can be. Pretty simple top 8 then top 6 aim for Europa league

Why do you say that when every report I’ve read on the subject says it’s for another 12 months ? It suits you not to accept that as it doesn’t fit in with your anti Parish agenda.

Ok, European football is a good ambition to have - I’m highly envious that Brighton have managed it. Given how Burnley achieved it a few years ago it’s certainly something it aim for. I would argue that if they could do it then so could Palace .

What u on about on every report I’ve read it says it’s for another 12 months? If it’s regarding Hodgson don’t want him for another 12 months. We should be getting someone in that can do better than Hodgson. There is plenty out there. We should be challenging top 8 at least by now. The fact we have made no league progress is embarrassing. The reason I say what I say about parish is he has no ambition or definitely hasn’t proved he had any ambition it is very clear unless your head is buried in the sand which I know some of our fans are.

I also belief competing should be a priority over the new stand. As the new stand won’t be much use in the championship

I also belief league performances should be a priority over the new stand. As the new stand won’t be as much use and as enjoyable if we end up getting relegated to the championship. Not compared to if we’re competing in top 6

For me, it's a question of seeing who is sold and what kind of player comes in? We do as everyone knows, badly need a couple of really good young strikers like Balogun, and or Nketiah, then that's a positive surely?
