His close ball control skills are as good as Wilfs. I think he needed to feel the love and be wanted, as he didn't look this type of player whilst he was on loan. I wonder if we should reunite him with his brother we might bring the best out of him too? Absolutely. His close control is excellent and very rarely looses the ball. If he added more goals to his games there would be teams queuing up for him. He is a master at winning the push to the back free kicks too. Even better than Jimmy.

Such a good player. His dribbling and ball retention is right up there with Zaha and many times superior. It’s good that he still gets his goal chances even playing wide as god help us if we rely on Benteke to get the goals. Credit where it is due to freedman and parish as the price we paid for this guy is a joke. Someone at Swansea messed up.
Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha. |

I don't think anyone at Swansea messed up, they got relegated and couldn't afford him. Good coup for us now though, the boy has come good and long may it continue! My brother insists on referring to him as the Ghanaian Messi now!
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

A couple of my best pals are Villa fans and they always raved about him but said that is main problem was that he was always trying to do it all by himself. I thought he never really got a fair deal last year but I must admit I am very surprised by how good he is. He is definitely one of the first names of the team sheet now and is never injured.

Ayew is my player of the season. Some of his ball control and skill yesterday was sublime and a joy to watch. It is such a relief to be safe from relegation (99%) with 9 games left. I'd like to see us press for a best ever points and league finish. Looking at the fixture list, I think we could get 9 points...it's hard to say though, but given the pressure is less now I hope that transpires to a continued good run, touch wood.

Total points 17. This article has Ayew down as 14 points, but I agree with your tally. I have attached the article as it highlights that JA will overtake AJ's 2004/05 tally of points secured if he gets two more (according to the article). I actually make it 15 points as he has scored 5 winners, but still a great season. The article also shows each (link to Twitter), but which is his best goal? Man Utd Winner? Because it’s Man Utd? Winner against Villa? Because he beats Mings and Grealish in the corner of the box and places it under the keeper? Away to Brighton? Coz it’s Brighton and bragging rights? Solo winner at home against West Ham: Pirouette, zig-zag, chip? Watford? Guaita to Cahill – Cahill to McArthur – McArthur to Benteke – Benteke to Zaha – Zaha to Benteke – Benteke to McArthur - McArthur to Ayew – Ayew to Net

Think we have been very prudent recently which will serve us well. JA is one of several excellent budget signings recently.
