If we get relegated, Benteke will justly deserve most of the blame.

Hopefully a goal or two will accidentally bounce off his head into the net in the remaining games. I'm not hopeful though.

With two goals on the season, he's like a p*** star with erectile dysfunction. He's not doing what he's paid to do.

your F***IN right there mate

An injury list that takes the biscuit,i am surprised we are still clear of the bottom 3!

This. Given no goals and no points in our first 7 games, an injury list that is a total killer, I'm amazed we're still in the mix.

I know a lot of fans are pi@@ed with the transfer window, but it looks like we're under severe finical constraints, (whether FPP or cashflow), so we have to accept it was what it was.

When 2010 bought the club they said that they'd never run it into the ground. Personally I think that's why SP has to be so hard nosed.

Anyway I'm disappointed by our loss to Everton, but not hugely surprised. If Roy can't save us then no one can. I think we'll scrape through, but if we don't then its just another dip on the rollercoaster - COYOP

Benteke has shown everyone he's not up for it so it's time to change it round and do the complete opposite and give someone else a go with the following matches coming up there's still enough time scrape through like you say we should have got wilf.sakho back in just in time for the run in and that will help in a big way roys still fighting for safety just like rest of team are 100% it's just up front where wheels have fell off

Maybe it's time given the majority's view that when he doesn't try against spurs and misses another sitter the chant of "take him off, take him off"would be an idea.Don't say it would dent the lads confidence as he doesn't seem to care.Couldn't believe the way he pulled out of a50/50 tackle with pickford on that poor everton backpass early in game Murray would have dived in .Clearly doesn't want to exert himself or sustain an injury before world cup

Bad idea. Leave it to Roy to bench him. He’s not going to manage the team according to chants from the crowd and all it will do is destroy his confidence further when he needs building up. Hate it when fans turn on an individual player. Would like to see him dropped but would hate to see our fans doing that. On this form surely he can’t be considered for the World Cup anyway.

OK when the going is good but not a man to have along side you in the trenches which is the type of guy we need in the final 13 games. If we can find a buyer in the summer he'll be gone which ever division we are in.

Selling Benteke in the winter for 20 million to Everton, Chelsea, China or any other party that has shown to be interested would have meant no financial constraints. For 20 million you could have bought in 2-3 other decent strikers.

The introduction of a 100% tax on overseas players has slowed down that market. This is why Diego Costa's move to China never went ahead.

Surprisingly his Premier league record is not that bad . Appearances 175 Goals 68 .... Maybe most of his goals were at Villa were he had a better service as I guess most were headers , we have to remember he never going to get the ball on the half way line and run at defenders as its not his game , In football you have to use what you got to you best advantage , so are we doing that ?
The worrying statistics this season is we have midfielders scoring more than him whereas it is normally your strikers who you count on for at least 10+ goals and midfield / Defenders topping up goals during the season .

Is he a better player than all the others on similar numbers ?

91. Nathan Aké AFC Bournemouth 2
91. Marc Albrighton Leicester City 2
91. Joe Allen Stoke City 2
91. Scott Arfield Burnley 2
91. Christian Atsu Newcastle United 2
91. Leighton Baines Everton 2
91. Tiemoué Bakayoko Chelsea 2
91. Héctor Bellerín Arsenal 2
91. Christian Benteke Crystal Palace 2

Despite his disappointing record with us this season I suspect there wouldn't be any shortage of interest if he continued in the same vein and was made available for transfer at the end of the season.
