There isn't a market (Bonds, Currency, Stocks, Precious Metals etc) on the planet that isn't manipulated.
The crypto market is currently tiny in comparison therefore easily manipulated for not too much money (in the grand scheme).
Despite prices being lower than the peaks around 18months ago, trading volumes continue to eclipse those seen at the peak. This space is far from dead, quite the opposite.

SAGTTB................baby brains.

No one ever said it was dead.

Its highly likely to experience several more boom and bust cycles. But will it eliminate centralised control of money and power and lead to financial and social utopia? No. Absolutely not.

Further, the very fact in can be manipulated so easily is yet another argument against it becoming mainstream. Yada yada corruption, existing system, bankers, elites whatever. It’s the price you pay for a stable system that works. Not one that doesn’t. It’s sort of like pure socialism, or even communism. It kind of sounds interesting but in practice it’s a complete nightmare. Injustice, corruption and power are required components of a stable system. It really doesn’t matter what path you go down, they’ll always rise to the surface.

It doesn't work though for the vast majority ie the people who truly generate the wealth and that's what matters.
In real terms, the majority of us are now back in the 70's.
This is not progress, this is deliberate wealth confiscation.

Of course it doesn’t.

Re. 70s Financially yes there is some truth in that but the growth seen since deregulation was always unsustainable and now we’re having to pay for it.

However there are plenty of things other than finances where we are not at all back in the 70s. Living standards are still way better than that era, and you’re still living in the best time to be born.

Also, answer the question. Communism and socialism seem right up your street. It’s ok to admit that. They won’t tear into you that much I’m sure.

How can it be different.
It's ok posting all your links and how great crypto is but it seems to me to just be a protest vote.
How will crypto be better.
It seems like the envy of the poorer.
All I read is how we are being robbed and how it shouldn't be etc etc.
How on earth can it change.
There is a hierarchy in all of life.
Including finance.
Correct what I've said and why your way will be so much better.
If you reduce the amount of markets like when the euro came to Europe then you reduce competition to retaliate against currency.
Crypto is a single currency.
This cannot be good unless you get in early and control it exactly as the banks are now.

Also interesting how a certain someone goes missing when asked, not unreasonably, to respond with substance to a challenge rather than segue and obfuscate. Still waiting on a response to this

Waiting for that then eh.
It is really though isnt it.
A battle against good and evil.
Your crypto pound still buys the same as my paper pound.
That will never change.
What may change is that my pocket is being picked and I'm aware of it.
If yours is you may not know until you log on.

And this.

Maybe with bitcoin people on both sides of the argument kind of have a point. As with anything though, if you're in and out at the right time, you'll likely do well out of it. And if you're not, you won't. Aside from that the blockchain technology appears to be the most intriguing aspect. Well that and I suppose an 'off the grid' aspect to it when compared to other types of spending. I can see value in that for people.

Do you see the contradiction there though.
In and out at the right time to do what.
Change it into paper money.
The type we are told is bad and evil and corrupt.
Bit strange praising something which generates the very thing it was created to get rid of.

My boss is ok.
I work
He pays me
I pay my Bill's
Everyone's happy.

He doesnt pay me or I decide to not do my job then I hold the cards and take my services elsewhere.

Capitalism.
You get money for providing a service.
What you get paid is reflected in the value of your role to the business you work for or service you work in.
That's why city bankers earns zillions because they generate zillions for there employers.
I may be earning my boss £100 a day above what I get paid plus expensing my job.

Point being and there is one (in cryrsts world)
Life in all aspects has a hierarchy.
Someone has to be in charge and make the rules.
That puts them in power and in control.

There's little point attempting to have reasoned debate with an ideologue, although it's hard not to try.

There is literally nothing you could ever say to make them admit that even the smallest component of what he believes (note belief) is perhaps not as he thought it was.

Much like most people that believe in a god. I respect their right to their beliefs but draw the line when they start to preach them to others packaged up as the only and unanswerable truth. There is only one god, and that's science, until that's proven otherwise. And when it is, I'll happily change my position.

We, the 99%, are being continually bent-over by an economic system that by design is intended to confiscate our wealth, fact (as this weeks problems in the US Repo market once again show).

You like science, crypto is maths. Maths doesn't lie, enforced economic models do.
