A 'best of' Beatles compilation that includes 'The Long and Winding Road' yet leaves out 'Strawberry Fields'. Crazy, I tells ya. But then it's a compilation of their number ones either in the UK or US - Strawberry Fields Forever only reached No 2 (as did Please Please Me) so isn't there I always thought that Love Me Do never got to No 1 but Please, Please me did?!
A bit of a sore point for me, as I could claim it was the number one when I was born (rather than Cliff Richard's Bachelor Boy which was the official one).

Todays first download is a rare one - a quality bootleg by Sniff N The Tears. This is only the second good quality bootleg by this band that I've ever seen. This is a bootleg that was recorded in Washington DC '79 and is in superb quality - the audio is from a Pre-Fm Broadcast and sounds great. I've always liked this band ever since I heard their album "The Games Up"... one of my favourite albums. They play a fair bit of that album, as well as their most famous track "Drivers Seat". This band, like so many, never got the recognition they deserved... I thought they were great..... so I thoroughly recommend this one....... Todays second download is a set by Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac which was recorded in Stockholm, Sweden in 1969. This is in superb quality for a bootleg thats over 40 years old - and also included in the file are two live videos of the band. This is a crackin' bootleg and a must have for anyone who likes this band.. a fantastic version of Albatross on this one ....... thoroughly recommended.. Todays extra download is a set by INXS which was recorded in Sydney, Australia in 1992. This is in superb quality and is a wicked set. Some classic tracks on this one - Mystify, Need You Tonight and Suicide Blonde. If you like INXS then this one is thoroughly recommended.....
