She had a temperature after, the flu vaccine often does that, so sounds hopeful. Experts, of course, are writing off Putin's vaccine already, in which case it could well be effective. And it doesn't appear to interfere with the the UK elections.

Russia have approved a vaccine. Someone had to be first and who knows, it might be the answer but personally I’d like a bit more testing than the fact that Putin’s daughter has been inoculated and “feels fine”. It's all John Lennon ever wanted.

Or is it because they won't let just anyone in?

Chris Whitty is the reason we get cities or regions closed down because of 20 odd infections or a rise in infections from, wait for it, more testing. The positive tests from tests carried out has flatlined. They’re just testing more people, not finding rises in infections all over the place. You could say the medical ‘experts’ have got carried away with themselves without any thought of economic consequences, which include damage to health, and of course the 50% drop in heart attack admissions and 50% drop in cancer referrals. The whole thing is farcical and why I say the vulnerable should be shielding while everyone else repairs the damage and saves their future. I’ve said this to several oldies. Why they’ve been encouraged to and feel safe now and going forward because of face cloths is negligent advice from the government and loads of others. Keep your bubble limited and maintain high standards of hygiene. The winter is only going to be more farcical. Keeping the bubble limited seems to be difficult for many to grasp. This is why it will come back and probably be far more dangerous.

Scotland to regrade exam results based on Teacher predictions (I wonder which way they will go up or down?). I can understand students getting upset it's the adults that surprise me. They are complaining about grades awarded for an exam that was never sat it's not the end of the world they could offer those students a chance to actually sit them if they feel hard done by. Typical Nicola Sturgeon giving in to the parents and the teachers this will cause problems for the rest of the UK. Scottish students will now have better grades than their English counterparts. I was against this from the start I understand why they postponed the exams but they should have found a way to let the students sit them. A levels are supposed to be the gold standards teachers invariably over praise their pupils. I have friends who are university lecturers the students would be better off taking a gap year as most of the lessons will be remote video so they will not be getting the full university experience this year. Clutching at straws on the strength of a return of Covid but I agree on not mixing with loads of different people you don’t need to. I’ve learned how many hypocritical people are out there. I’ve done everything apart from the mask nonsense.

Wonder if they’ll remember this when fixture congestion becomes an issue. I’ll say probably not.
