Because it is the usual double standards and selective outrage of the liberal/left. Racism against black people is treated as the vilest of thought crimes whereas racism against white people, especially Jews (unless expressed by the far right) is considered more or less cool.

Edited by hedgehog50 (25 Jan 2017 10.16pm)

It is absolute nonsense to claim racism against Jews is considered "cool" it is a ridiculous thing to say though imagine you know that and are instead trying to start another argument. Are you seriously claiming for example that Ed Miliband is anti-Semitic?

What does exist is a refuseal by some on the left to distinguish between the policies of the state of Israel and people if Jewish faith.

Your comment is up there with "all men are rapist"

Here's some. Imagine your outrage and foot-stamping if, say Nigel Farage, had said any of these things about black people. I expect you would be round his house smashing windows and damaging his car.

1988, “the British invented racism.”
1996, “blonde, blue-eyed Finnish girls” were unsuitable as nurses because they had “never met a black person before”
(Aided and abetted by the racist supporter of attempts to behead policemen, Bernie Grant, who added “Bringing someone here from Finland who has never seen a black person before and expecting them to have to have some empathy with black people is nonsense. Scandinavian people don't know black people—they probably don't know how to take their temperature".)
2012,”White people love playing 'divide and rule' We should not play their game”,
(Nick Clegg called her comments a "stupid and crass generalisation". Nadhim Zahawi, MP, said: “This is racism. If this was a white member of Parliament saying that all black people want to do bad things to us he would have resigned within the hour or been sacked.” Members of the public lodged complaints but the police stated that no investigation would be launched and no charges would be brought against her, saying she “did not commit a criminal offence.” – contrast of course with the likes of John Terry.)
2012, “Dubious of black people claiming they’ve never experienced racism. Ever tried hailing a taxi I always wonder?”

Well done for answering for elgrande. I'm sure he could have managed for himself.

Can you provide sources for your assertations. I already know about the out of context tweet.

As I have pointed out before Hoof. If you don't want to engage with me, why do you keep making reference to me in your posts?

It seems Union officials aren't very clever at understanding messages.

I have said (quite a few times now) that I did not want to engage DIRECTLY with Gusset (and that includes random abusive Private Messages).

It doesn't stop me discussing his opinions or mentioning his attempts to discredit me with other posters.

Of course... I could stop mentioning him 100% but he keeps posting stuff that I don't agree with or refers to me directly with his baiting.

We've already seen Hrolf chuck in the towel due to bullying.

Ah Bernie Grant. The most selectively quoted person in recent political history. He became a hate figure because the press attributed a quote to him which was taken so out of context as to change the meaning.

In fact he had very friendly and close relationships with local commanders

But...but context isn't important according to some. It's just a crap lefty argument to ask for things in context.
People gotta hate, even for the flimsiest of reasons. Ask them to back it up and they either: go very quiet, call you stupid or refuse to respond anymore bit still make barbed comments about you.

1988: Said to a conference of the National Council for Black Studies in Philadelpia [from No Such Thing As Society by Andy McSmith]
1996: Remarks made in her article published in the Hackney Gazette.
2012: Twitter post of hers.

We have now sunk to a depth at which the restatement of the obvious is the first duty of intelligent men. [Orwell]

After the Broadwater Farm Riot in which policeman Keith Blakelock was hacked to death by a predominantly black mob, who then tried to behead him and put his head on a pole, Grant said: "The youths around here believe the police were to blame for what happened on Sunday and what they got was a bloody good hiding." He didn’t actually say how much of the blame Keith Blakelock should be apportioned – quite a lot presumably?

Thanks.
We've already ascertained that the 2012 tweet was taken out of context (still silly to say it though)

1988. What lead her to say the British invented racism? What was her justification?

Do you have a link to the article about Finnish airhostesses?
