An extra download today and a set that was recorded yesterday at the BBC Maida Vale Studios in London. This was recorded for BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge with Fearne Cotton. The quality of this boot is superb with the audio coming from an FM broadcast of the show. The band play a couple of songs from their new album "Babel" as well as some from their previous release "Sigh No More". If you like Mumford & Sons this is thoroughly recommended.... Todays first download is a set by The Sweet that is a selection of outtakes which have been taken from various sources like BBC Sessions and Studio outtakes. This is in superb quality and is one of the best sounding Sweet bootlegs I've ever heard - and it's the original line up including the late Brian Conolly who died in 1997. This band were huge in the early 1970's and had many hit singles - some of them are included here like Hell Raiser, Blockbuster and Ballroom Blitz. This is a wicked bootleg and is throughly recommended.... Todays second download is a set by Elvis Costello and the Imposters that was recorded at the Newport Folk Festival, Rhode Island USA on the 31st July 2011. This is in superb quality and the audio has been taken from an FM broadcast of the show and sounds top notch. Elvis C has a few guests join him onstage for this set and a few cover versions of songs are played. This is great stuff, and if you like Elvis C you will want this one.... An extra download today and a bootleg by Pink Floyd that consists of FM, TV, Studio and Audience recordings over a 40 year period 1966-2006. It includes "A" sides, "B" sides of the bands early singles as well as tracks from their albums. The last four bonus tracks were recorded live from an audience source and the quality isnt as good as the studio stuff. This is a great bootleg though and if you like early Pink Floyd this is well worth the download.
