It doesn’t pay for them! Reading that story it seems that not only are the Texans playing politics with this they are funding it with federal funds allocated to them to stop the crossings. So if anyone is culpable in opening the border it is the Republicans. Edited by Wisbech Eagle (23 Jan 2024 8.25am)

Build the equivalent to their 10 largest cities to accommodate these new arrivals?

I'm still in Sittingbourne and you'd be inclined to believe that putting a spoiler, some stickers and crap exhaust on your car is of more importance than a driving licence! And that's just Kent Police...

The subject of border control (or lack there of) will be what decides the next election! Media coverage (cover up) has now run out of ways to down play this policy disaster! Middle America will now decide the result which I believe will be bad news for Joe! I’m sure the idyllic beaches and guest houses in Cornwall would not be so attractive if 10 million illegal and undocumented persons (size of Scotland, Wales and NI combined) decided to descend on the county with no ways of stopping them!

Biden might get 1 billion postal votes - just to be safe.

No. How about use the money they’ve been allocated to process asylum applications efficiently rather than diverting it onto transporting the problems elsewhere. These aren’t legal immigrants coming to fill skill shortages on visas. These are illegals, the equivalent of our small boat arrivals. Just vastly greater numbers.

And once they've been processed what happens?
