This is an extraordinarily patronising paragraph, so I'll respond in the same tone.

For your benefit Mr Steely Eye, at the time of us entering the Common Market the UK was "the sick man of Europe", and needed trade more than ever. The idea of the Common Market was to remove tariffs so that we could all trade together. Great. Battle won. Economy boomed.

Since then, we have been restricted to an EU-only trade deal, mainly with countries much poorer than us as the club grew (without the consent of the British people) and we had to accept unlimited immigration from said club. Now, we are again removing restrictions so that we can once more prosper by making free trade deals with more countries. To suit us.

Both the decision to take us in to the Common Market, and the one to take us out, were correct in my opinion because of course it will only be with hindsight that we will truly know.

Nothing patronising just stating a fact in reply to another post.

Still opinion though The jury is still out for me. Not knowing what Brexit will actually look like and mean for us until after negotiations makes it difficult to pass judgement or form opinion.

Interesting times.

Of course the vast majority will want things to go well, and I hope we do well out of it. To wish it leading to disaster just to say told you so is facile.

The only negotiating you do is deciding how many fish fingers you'll have for your supper!!

Parliament must push through an act of parliament before a50 can be invoked.

Interesting times which will give UKIP something to campaign on in Stoke

Democracy is dead. It's only namedropped when it suits the sneering liberal elite and that smug cow known as Gina Miller, who looks down her nose at his ordinary folk.
