How daft are we going to look when it is confirmed that this is utter rubbish and we had a 100 page thread on it? Clearly it's about as likely as the FA saying, "here, have your ten points back". Shame though.

P Diddy is not interested in buying Crystal Palace Football club: I remain hopeful of a sale -----Original Message----- If none of the interested parties in purchasing Crystal Palace football club come up with the £10 million by 5pm this Friday 26th what would be the worst case scenario for the future of Crystal Palace football club. And do you believe in this media hype concerning P Diddy buying CPFC. Regards

The only concrete thing to come out of this is that we know that Guilfoyle is a hip-hop fan. Therefore I think he should entertain the fans with some break dancing at half-time on Saturday and earn those huge fees he's been charging.
The crowd is outstanding, and especially with the penalty after 44 minutes it was clear when we came out after half-time the welcome would be pretty loud and not too friendly. Crystal Palace wanted to strike back, so that was all clear. This is a wonderful place to play football - Jurgen Klopp |

Thanks for posting that TC. Of course, every comment and rumour should be treated with caution. Every expression of interest has the potential to be untrue, but so do comments regarding a lack of interest, depending on the motivations of those involved. This has been an entertaining discussion and whilst I think most accept it was just a ridiculous rumour, I still don't believe a word BG says! As I, and many others, have said before - the ground is the biggest obstacle to overcome in any potential sale and is the major contributing factor in the lack of a firm bid - whether you are a rapper, a fantasist, an evil old man or whatever... As I understand it, the ground is simply "open to offers" at the moment, rather than having any kind of specified price. Given the open day recently I would hope that some sort of firm decision regarding the sale of Selhurst Park is forthcoming - although that said it might well be a sale that further complicates matters. Or ends things once and for all in a very bad way. I will say for near certainty that if the ground can be obtained by a potential buyer for a reasonable price, I would personally expect a rapid resolution. Unfortunately the "if" in that statement is the key point.

If we go down, then the only people left in the ring are those 'moderatley' wealthy fans who at the present time cannot sustain a championship club AND pay around £10m for the stadium. The money that could be saved on the cost of a league 1 side will mean that the ground could be afforded and the club sustained and invested in. It really wouldn't surpirse me at all if we stay up and our new owners are on the filthy rich list or indeed massively famous (such as P Diddy). Owning a top football club is the new 'must have' for the mega rich - if we can be picked up cheap with championship status guarenteed then we will be sold off very quickly IMO. Given the stabilising nature of the world economy, more investment in football is happening. Filthy rich moguls obviosuly found QPR to be a feasible purchase - and nothing suggests that they have more potential than us. As frustrating as all this waiting is - sadly, until the final whistle is blown on the last day of the season, we won't be any closer to a new owner. That doesn't mean that we will capitualte, however, as fans like Steve Parish may well pump money in to keep us alive until then.

Apparently, Bo Diddley, or whatever his name is heard the words 'crystal' & 'palace' in the same sentence and presumed it was some sort of bling that he just had to have. I guess he's going to be a tad disappointed. ;-)

look at if from a potential buys point of view. If you want to buy palace why would you buy them now. There is a chance that we will get relgated and they can pick us up for less money, therefore put more money into getting us promoted again and having a championship club for even cheaper then it would be to buy us if we stay in the championship.
