Who's Tony? Tony McCoy, jockey on both today's picks. He is a record breaking champion jockey... but he still doesn't win them all, unfortunately.

Dortmund v Auxerre - home 4/7 Three out of six is a much better return than Tuesday! I owe you all an apology for not posting betting for the Palace match last night -- especially as I backed the 0-0. :G <<slug blushes>> After having (gently) panned Saxon for not posting his bets before the event, how stupid do I feel now?! Basically I'd recommend sticking a couple of quid on 0-0 every time Palace play.

Not a bad idea, not only financially, but also a way to generate a bit of excitement towards the end of another dull 0-0. I will now disgust HMHS by putting another couple of Ryder Cup tips. It would be nice to think of us thrashing them 28-0 or some such, but realistically if we are going to win it, it's going to be tight. I've gone for Europe wins of 15-13 and 15.5-12.5 with bet365 at 12/1 and 14/1 respectively.

Tip away me old son, hope you win something. And it'd be nice to stuff the Septics... But I think we have more chance of bringing home the Ashes! I've had a look at Sunday's Palace v Gillingham match, which because it is televised means we have an expanded market available, including first goalscorer. As mentioned above, it's hard to look beyond final score 0-0 at 15/2, with possible savers being the draw at half time at evens, or 0-1 goals total at 11/5. Gillingham's recent league form belies their 11th place, 3 points ahead of Palace. 1-1(H), 1-4, 4-2, 1-3(H) and 0-2 translates to 4 points gleaned from the last 15, worse form even than us! My scorecast would be Mullins first goal & 3-1 to Palace which is worth about 200/1. Hayden is in a rich goalscoring seam (for him) and we usually seem to have a few goals when we're on TV. I felt like being optimistic with this one. I may also have a small side bet on Paul Shaw to score the first/last goal at 10/1, as he seems to be the Gills' form scorer at the moment. Other matches to follow.

Fortunately the Yanks don't know what teamwork is so that plays to our advantage for the first 2 days..... then we just need to bag maybe 4/5 or last day singles. EASY

She is called Soviet Song. She's favourite for the race, odds are quite low though. By his horse, he means he owns part of it, or something..... what do you reckon?
I think Keith Murray said it best when he rapped I'm sure you'll agree. |

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Racing Tip of the day' by halfmanhalfslug Has 100% record so far. won its 2 races at odds of 6/1 and 4/1 so form looks OK. Not run since 10 Aug though so should be well rested. Likely to be short odds for race but might be worth a few pounds.... but there are a couple of other good horses in the race
