It’s not the first time such a party has existed.

It’s now defunct.

Who knows how long this one will last, let alone how successful it will be but I won’t be holding my breath.

Typical though of the Express to report it and for it to be trumpeted here as some kind of revelation coming true.

I would. You don't want to breathe in any sand.

Genocide.
Just looking at footage of random night-time explosions. Homes and buildings now rubble in the morning light.
If not genocide, then what ?

If you check your link it states Muslims being a minority in this area. Now I would guess they are close to a majority. That is the difference this time. Don’t worry though as it won’t be you or your kids living under sharia. It will only be your grandchildren or great grandchildren. Bring it on I guess as you see no problem with it.

Of course I see a problem with sharia as a basis for law. It will never happen here, of that I am quite certain. As a way for communities to sort out disputes by agreement, as a system of mitigation, is has a place.

A political party of this sort has no chance at all of anything other than making some noise.

It doesn't really require supernatural powers, just the ability to see beyond tomorrow.

If only we could all be totally oblivious, like Wisbech.

Hopefully they will field a lot of candidates

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Just can't help but feel depriving civilians of food, water, fuel, electricity and medical aid, whilst levelling their towns and cities (and a bit of death and injury from military action),....is a tiny bit wrong. (probably me, being a bit silly)

Not in any way.

I used to attend college in Whitechapel during the time of the Krays. That was seriously scary. The use of Sharia to mitigate is always by agreement.

Mr Kray has a gun, Mr Smith does not. Mr Smith therefore agrees with Mr Kray. Agreement reached.

I think that almost everyone agrees with you and think the weasel words of politicians to be pretty disgraceful.

No one can defend the actions of Hamas on Oct 7. The UN Secretary was though right to say it did not happen in a vacuum. Whilst jihadist groups like Hamas would still have existed I doubt they would have become as big and powerful if Gaza had been treated better by Israel. Then the problems they caused could have been handled without this kind of response.

How long will people in the west put up with their political leaders tolerating Israel’s behaviour? Initially outright condemnation of Hamas was justified and supported along with the need to respond, but not this.

Not disagreeing with you but maybe the West is looking at this and thinking: ‘why did our aid seem to go towards building hundreds of miles of tunnels and armaments instead building a better life for the Palestinian people?’

Along with the food and medical supplies being hoarded. Yup they definitely care for their people.
