No agenda at all, just experience of reality. I've experienced the utter disdain and disinterest when arriving at Heathrow, lots of staff behind the kiosks chatting away while only a handful of kiosks open and massive queues. So you were employed in this job. Well that makes you at total conflict of interest to reply, clearly defending the indefensible. There are hardly any flights coming into Heathrow compared to normal years and yet still the same "can't be bothered" attitude by the staff, who are getting paid and more than likely getting overtime, benefits etc. Meanwhile, those arriving have paid for the privilege after hours on a flight and should be treated as customers as they are paying the salaries of the border staff, instead are treated like objects getting in the way of the staff. Arrogance beyond belief, nothing changes.

I never experienced as a foreign worker in Germany, any such 'difficulties' at all, quite the reverse.

You simply have to obey the law as you would anywhere.

The UK wanted it that way, and that's what it got.

Once the UK has secured deals with other countries for goods im sure the eu will play ball. Its bully boy tactics because atm they can. The shoe will be on the other foot in good time so karma will happen. Early days. Nothing to stop boris changing rules over here for migrants. Who knows if he will but options are there to copy the eu.

I haven't seen this story but I will take your word for it.

Companies always move assets and people around I lost my London job to Dublin because of the EU tax deal and when that ended the bank moved the same job to India. I remember the Irish Times complaining that Indians were stealing Irish jobs and where did the Irish get them?

So I am not surprised that assets and jobs moved to the EU we live in a capitalist world and businesses will do what they think is right for them.

What matters is how the UK economy performs and that is now largely in the hands of the UK government post Brexit. If they set the right tax and regulatory regime that business or others will come back to the UK.

So still to early to see if leaving was a disaster as some think.

One more point

You can"t blame them for not wanting sub standard shellfish on their plates, they only want top grade class A, we were selling class B, I know if I was in Spain and was offered a seafood dish, with the choice of clean water fish or the ones that were feeding on sewage, I might just go for the clean water variety! If we were doing the same, banning class B fish from France, everybody would be saying too right! I seem to remember lots of crap been thrown at our Polish allies, remember their pilots in the war?, we wern"t exactly the most accomodating hosts pre EU vote, and they had the best pilots in ww2, thats the reason for the polish war memorial near heathrow.

As I have previously said, airport authorities and airlines have ridiculous scheduling to cram in as many flights as possible. There get out clause (when chaos ensues) is to blame BF.
At Gatwick, during the busy summer, the busiest time for BF used to be between midnight and 3 am. It was often the case that between those times 3-5000 passengers could arrive. Cheaper flights etc, the abuse we took was unbelievable, no thought given to how many had arrived at the same time.
