Spot on Medway Eagle, just how I feel total, utter mismanagement of a club with so much potential. Let's see who we can get on the cheap in January eh!!!

You wait, I said this here earlier this year.

Roy will end up walking like the rest of them or leaving by mutual consent. Watch for an incoming Dougie Freedman.

Parish all over.

Roy needs to leave, I can't see any other solution.

The recruitment policy has also been disgraceful given how well other clubs around us have fared and attracted good players over the last few seasons. Why can't we?

Our summer transfer window has been pathetic. We lost AWB. G Cahill and Camerasa aren't going to plaster over the huge problems we have.

No strikers who could score in a brothel at this club.

Really?

I'd rather the club was sold to someone who actually wants to take the club forward.

Hodgson will only end up being the sacrificial lamb because of our inability to sustain a PL team.

Agree. And there either aren’t any buyers or they’re put off by something or someone so obviously that’s why Roy we think Roy will be sacked, if he persists with his 4-4-2 nonsense without the players to do it.

I’d like to see the financial projections vs their loss of share value after relegation vs signing a right back and/or striker in some way.

The COST of the incredible achievement of 7 seasons in the Prem is really obvious now to those who thought it was through outstanding club management when in reality it’s been done by spending beyond our means, covering up mistakes, often later, in January, when we get taken for more millions, or by buying players way out of our price range because we didn’t have the slightest idea of where else to look or who to ask outside of faces on photos in the corridors of cpfc.

Parish and the board will get twitchy imo and twist on the manager in an attempt to save their investment. If Roy does change and can’t get them playing it’ll probably stink, but the confirmation will come with the new manager. Funny thing is he’ll demand a right back and striker or he won’t be worthwhile or confident in his ability and therefore a bad appointment no doubt.

Dougie fvcking Freedman it’ll be then, ffs. DFFSF.

If we go down with a reported wage bill of 117m we will be bang in trouble and seven years in the Prem would be down the drain

Yep, this is another part of those making big claims about 7th season in the Prem when it’s being funded with money by expenditures (because of Parish’s repeated mistakes and misjudged football strategies) money we can’t afford (self sufficiently).

This success can only be claimed when we’re slightly in the clear. That’ll be after Zaha leaves or we’re relegated. Until then it’s all borrowed and hanging by a thread.

I hope Parish gets lucky again.

This is a fine example of Parish incompetence and mismanagement of the club, if he really loves the club as he states then he should do what is in the best interest of the club and go!

I think last weekend's performance has understandably added fuel to this particular fire.

Quite how the players managed to summon up such a lame display is a concern short term.

Long term I can't see how Parish can sustain what we currently have much less improve upon it.

I'm beyond disappointed with what happened in the summer. I understood and supported the decision to sell AWB at the time in the hope that incoming funds would be used prudently to address the areas that needed investment. We all know what happened next...

People moan about Hodgson but he's only trying to do his best with what's available to him. It looks like he feels as let down as we do judging from recent comments in the Press.

Going into this season with the forward line we have is tantamount to raising the white flag. Sobering thought ; Pukki of Norwich has scored as many goals in the first week of this season as Benteke has in 50 games !

This must be the first time that two weeks into a new season we have still not heard from Parish either via club or other media sources.
He’s made a couple of bland press releases welcoming new players but other than that there has been nothing.
He has always maintained that part of his role is to ‘shut out the noise’ from social media and fan unrest so he does not lose focus and direction.
The problem is that at the moment the club appear rudderless with no leadership or direction and in not communicating he is losing his connection to the fanbase.
He is not leading from the front and people inevitably assume the worst and that his silence is explained by the fact that he has no justifiable explanation for why we appear to be going backwards.

Unjustifiable to fans, possibly not to the shareholders. However, there’s the loss of share value following relegation compared to losses already incurred and future projected losses. That is a concern.

But having said that they were trying to sign a right back, just not for £20 mil, and Clyne got injured. I’m not sure how serious we were about a striker. The Russian we approached very late and it never looked like coming off.

I’m not surprised Parish has said nothing until at least a few games have passed. I’m also unsurprised we didn’t buy a striker while Benteke is in his last season, although we should have loaned one in.

There’s definitely an air of ‘hold on in there’ amongst executives and probably Roy too. ‘Hold on in there’ until a number of things happen. The list is so long. Ownership, full Zaha price, Benteke going, maybe new manager, although I now doubt how much he’ll have to spend, even if it is next summer and following Benteke’s departure, Zaha’s sale and possibly Sakho’s too. A sort of clean slate if you like.

But isn’t that how Parish has run it since day dot? Absolutely no planning beyond the current? The only planning I can remember was to get promoted the season we did because he knew Zaha wouldn’t be at Palace after that, hence the Bristol City car park chat with DF.

We’ve flown by the seat of our pants paying sizeable amounts to correct screw ups, now we’re trying to spend as little as possible to correct the corrections that are now the screw ups.

This was all going to happen while some thought it was amazing it’s our 7th year, but truthfully it’s been on credit essentially, and now it’s caught up with us.

We’ll see some evidence in January of how much the Americans want to avoid relegation, again. Or how much relegation damages share value compared to carrying on financing or loaning (even if very short term or longer).

If projected losses are more than share value from relegation or full share value then we really are in for some tough times ahead, whoever the owners, unless an oligarch comes in.
