I think your all over reacting (not) I mean were gonna have a new main stand aint we, opps not.
Weve got a proven prem rb in Ward, well he was 3 years ago, weve signed an ever present cb, 33 and only played 3 games last season, weve signed a sick note whos played 8 games i think in the last 2 seasons and a midfielder from a championship side. Then theres that prolific striker we had on loan last season and weve snapped him up, relegated with his 2 last clubs i believe.

Really need to look at the scouting system and transfer policy of the club if we ever want to progress. Very tought season ahead.

Win win realy

Unfortunately it is the Palace way to leave things late.

I suppose we will see.

I think we should be grateful as for yet another window, the lack of signing anyone who has the vaguest notion where the goal is, simply proves all the hard work done by Dougie (who should know a striker when he sees one) as clearly there is no one available in the whole wild world better than what we have.

Otherwise we would sign them right?

We are lucky to be blest with such talent at the club.

Striker, err, OK. Getting a striker in of the quality to do the job on the scraps our midfield supplies in this league was always going to be tough given our finances and FFP.

But no new right back? That is negligence, pure and simple. Every team is going to channel everything down that flank. Everything! And it is not as if we lacked the funding.

I have been one of the rosier tinted observers every window when most of the fans on here froth at the gob about perceived failures - usually based on wholly unrealistic expectations. However, on this occasion I am with them on our failure to replace AWB.

This is going to be a very long season...

I now have us down as firm relegation candidates.

Thre's still the winter transfer, so Batshuayi coming then after only playing a few minutes for Chelsea should save the season.

As long as Zaha stays we should be ok. Exactly like last year, same players. Harder start probably without a good striker, but a beter one will come in the second part of the season.

Just AWB missing. Important right back, but team could do similar with Ward/Simpson there. Hopefully.

Real downfall will come once Zaha is sold, as clearly the board has no idea how to do transfers and this team will drop to the Chanpionship and maybe even to League One without a proper Zaha replacement, with the current scouting team's transfers.

I am not sure about the the technicalities of this, but don’t we still have a couple of PL loan options still available, one of them could still be Kyle Walker-Peters?

The winter window which over inflates prices even more and SP has stated he doesn't like it which is why we do very little in that window as well.

Zaha may be still here in body but clearly his mind has gone Roy even hinted at that when he said about him not going to training and he has a poor attitude anyway so I can see him not giving 100% to protect himself anyway.

Once some one has put in a transfer request thats it i dont see any coming back from that and the nature of how he did it as well was so disrespectful

Yes just AWB missing he made a difference on that side now we have weakness on both sides plus if Ward gets injured whos going to play their Kelly?

We wont drop leagues because of Zaha you are being silly what will make us drop is as we are seeing poor transfer windows like this again not just 1 player being sold.

You say this every year and we then have 8 months of negativity in pretty much each of your posts.

I'll tie this in to betting just to give the mods a chance to delete the thread ...

3 players ... 7/4
2 players ... 9/4
4 players ... 5/1
1 player .... 5/1
more than 4 .. 16/1
zero ... 25/1

just my odds - no bets to be struck just my opinion ... if you backed each runner the best you could do is lose £9 if you spent £100 - it's a proper book. How many do you reckon will arrive - regardless of my odds? I reckon Camarasa, a full back and a striker. thoughts?

favourite comes in, more than 4 became fav after I'd factored in your responses, but the extra two never materialised - I've impressed myself with my bookmaking skills, you might not be but I am and that's all that matters to me.
