At least it's done and dusted now. Let's see what BoJo can do. Next stop GE most probably.

The honeymoon period wont last long. Soon it will be clear nothing that Bojo says about Brexit carries any water whatsoever.
Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha. |

It would be if we had one but we do not. Sadly. Of course we have a democracy! It might not be perfect but it beats the hell out of any other system I know. The level of ignorance over the way British Parliamentary democracy works is truly astounding in 2019. The "winners"don't ride roughshod over anything or anybody. Once elected their job is to try to use their collective consciences to deliver what the people need, and not what some of them want. Our job starts and ends when we choose them.
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |

And that democratic process has decided the best way to elect a replacement PM so what’s your beef with it?

Parliament itself has not yet woken up to the fact that this means they don't get to choose who is the PM. I hope there is a very swift vote of no confidence in the government which succeeds, and that a coalition emerges of those who oppose the current Tory government direction together with sufficient Tory "rebels" to make it stick, and they can then form a new government of national unity ready to renegotiate a deal with the EU. If that doesn't work then a GE would follow, which would be a disaster with Corbyn not yet replaced.

Willow, I used to think to think you had some good points when you stuck up for referees, but to think you helped put Johnson in No 10, my goodness man, do you have no morals?

Maybe we should let a panel of judges decide since you have such high regard for them.
