The Government has bailed out all of the rail companies through the pandemic a lot more than TfL and still are, but no one seems to mind that, but then it doesn't win them political points to slate how they are run does it.
The reason TfL was struggling before the pandemic was because of all the pointless and useless things that Johnson wasted millions on, unfortunately our right wing press seem to ignore that he was the worst mayor we've ever had.
£35,000,000 for a bridge that was never built , and all the fees given to his chums without and competition, still at least they weren't Russian I suppose.

Fair comment but now it's billions not millions.
Maybe the fares freeze, huge pay rises and hundreds of non important jobs including all the perks had a bit to do with it.
Yes covid hit it hard but at no time did sad dick offer cuts at the time, why? Only now he's at it with the begging bowl.
I see now why the Tory candidate wasn't backed during the mayoral election. Khant created the s*** show and now he's reaping what he sown. Guaranteed he was gutted he won

The tory candidate wasn't backed because he was useless, as for the perks, Johnson brought all them in, everything is his legacy it's just that no one believes it because it suits the presses agenda to name Labour and not a party that lines it's pockets with Russian money

That's right Labour are much more moral. I mean they will ignore the rape of tens of thousands of working class girls for years and years to continue winning elections in ethnic areas.....but sure, at least they don't touch that Russian money....if that's even true.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

You forgot to mention that as a condition of bailing out the train companies which had been mismanaged the government took control of them and appointed a new body to manage them.

They should do the same with TFL? Why are we funding a failed organisation, funny the unions were dead keen on the government taking control of the rail companies but we hear nothing from them about removing the current TFL management.

How many failing train companies (thanks Thatch) have really transferred back to the government.
How many councils are going under because of government failings.
How large is the government debt currently (although the pre-pandemic debts are really embarrassing).

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

So - Sad Dick has done a great job with the tube strike.
They have just received an 8.4% pay rise with a 4 year promise of RPI + 0.2% and yet they are on strike.
Useless the lot of them.

He has ruled out the suggestion that he would "seek to replace Sir Keir" as Labour leader.
No indication of whose suggestion it might have been.
