Try typing in African empires in google and see what you get back you will surprised there actually cities in Africa where they didn't actually live in huts. I have a little interest in some parts of this history and I know that when the colonial Europeans entered middle and southern Africa they found no evidence of the wheel being used in the relatively primitive societies they found there. The differences in knowledge and technology between Europe and Africa was literally night and day. However, there can be little doubt that the wheel would have been invented many times. However, long lasting structural institutions are required for knowledge to become embedded over generations within societies. Northern Africa, as it is now, was more developed, though I don't know if the Europeans encountered the wheel there. What we do know is that the ancient Egyptians used forms of wheel with other parts of north Africa with the grand Pyramids being a monumental achievement. That said North Africans like Egyptians seem more racially middle eastern than other parts of Africa and that whole area is contested

Total hogwash. An excuse is all he was,not even a catalyst. Anti trump, anti boris, left wing brainwashing is what started this. Throw in a bit of boredom and anxiety due to C19 and that's why it's happening. Bloody george floyd my left one indeed. what does that last sentence even mean? bloody george floyd my left one indeed?

I think change is coming in this country if we like it or not, these demos and the other climate change ones, annoy the fcuk out of many, including London taxi drivers, but they do leave a mark, and the fact that the media follow them with such interest does also have an effect, as we all know that all politicians/party"s follow public opinion, i would like to know how many black and white working class boys are at Eton, and would love to see a similar peaceful protest with my Hol comrades outside Eton one day to make sure quotas of black and white working class kids get the chance to attend!

I have been away for a week or so as I am busy with other things. Having read a few of the comments I have missed in that period I am pretty glad to have done so and won't be in any rush to come back. If anyone doesn't understand what lies behind this resurgence of the "Black Lives Matter" movement then reading some of those comments is the only instruction needed. Not that those writing them will have the slightest understanding of why that is. Which is probably the biggest barrier to solving the problem. Ignorance and denial are an epidemic in this place every bit as virulent as C19 is in the community as a whole.
For the avoidance of doubt any comments in response to a previous post are directed to its ideas and not at any, or all, posters personally. |
