I think however much we intelligent, articulate and rational HOLers try to hypothesis a peaceful outcome.,..This is one if the increasingly frequent situations where you are ultimately dealing with morons who are fvcked in the head.(on both sides) Let them get on with it. But in order to make it much more of a spectacle to SKY subscribers, perhaps the UK could supply the Palestinians with a few more modern armaments. That way it :

I am quite offended. Sterling seems happy to continue to bandy words with you other Hamas lovers out there but he has finished with me. Fair play, he is a bit outnumbered by the look of it, and his typing fingers must be worn out defending the indefensible. Quote Stirlingsays at 21 Jul 2014 9.59pm

They have had 47 years years to listen. How much longer do you expect the Palestinians to take it? What do you see as a "practical solution" to the problem? Because of Israel's actions over the past decades, Fatah and Hamas have agreed to have a coalition government, and it is the right of the Palestian people to elect whoever they want. Who are you to decide who they should be electing? The idea that Hamas could destroy Israel is ridiculous. Israel has every sort of weapon you can imagine (including nuclear) whereas the Palestians have pea shooters by comparison. Yet Israel is threatened? If they stopped occupying great stretches of land containing millions of people that might be a "practical solution". The fact is Hamas does not control Gaza. Israel does. Israel decides every little thing that comes in and out of Gaza and bombs and shells it whenever it wants to, which is increasingly often. Hamas controls it in the same way that the toughest prisoners control the prisons, but the prison warders decide nearly everything the prisoners can do. Are you happy that over a million people are being bombed and shelled as we write? In the Second World War the Germans had a policy of killing 100 people in the occupied territories for every one of theres that got killed. It may be by different methods but that is exactly the ratio of fatalities in the Israeli occupied territories. And it hasn't just been for four years like the Germans - it has been for more than 40 years. Carrying on buying your fruit from Israel if you like but for me it would taste of the blood of Palestinian children blown up on a beach by Isareli guns and I could not eat it and not feel sick.
In short I'm pretty much in direct opposition to your whole one eyed presentation of this conflict.....Especially in relation to Hamas. And like Hamas and Israel, we don't really have anything constructive to talk about.

Netanyahu has admitted he doesn't want a sovereign Palestinian state. This makes him no better than Hamas!

UN areas in Gaza are no safer than other places War crimes and inhumane actions by the Israeli Government. Not that they will give a toss what the outside world thinks. Nasty lot they are that need putting down.

Washington Post 22 July: BERLIN — The foreign ministers of Germany, France and Italy on Tuesday condemned the rise in anti-Semitic protests and violence over the conflict in Gaza, saying they will do everything possible to combat it in their countries. “Anti-Semitic rhetoric and hostility against Jews, attacks on people of Jewish belief and synagogues have no place in our societies,” German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier, France’s Laurent Fabius and Italy’s Federica Mogherini said in a joint statement issued in Brussels. The three said that while they respect demonstrators’ freedom of speech and right to assemble, they will also do everything possible to fight “acts and statements that cross the line to anti-Semitism, racism and xenophobia.” Since the outbreak of violence between Israel and Hamas, participants at anti-Israel demonstrations across Germany have frequently used anti-Semitic slogans and also called for Jews to be gassed — a reference to the killing of Jews by the Nazis in the Holocaust.

Does supporting Hamas firing rockets count as anti semitism? I don't support any firing onto UN facilities but the situation here is unclear. Yet the usual suspects are fully in 'minds made up mode' and have their Hamas loving in top gear. This organisation rejected a cease firs a week ago. They apparently store arms at UN locations.....Apparently fire from them. Would Hamas engineer this by bringing the fight here for maximum publicity?.....It certainty gets their supporters foaming at the mouth. What happened here isn't clear.......But I do know the people continuing this fight are Hamas by rejecting an Arab league cease fire.
