Popular? Are you nuts? Populist, yes, as she panders to the base interests of people like you.

Most of us feel she is a thoroughly nasty piece of work, with views normally only heard in the odd places where the far right congregate. Her attitude towards Israel and those protesting against their current activities is particularly odious. I haven’t heard one person today speak in defence of her.

Somebody mentioned on TV there was strong support for Cruella in the party ... FIVE people he said! She also made me smile when she chastised Rishi for being an unelected Prime Minister ... seemingly forgetting it also meant she was an unelected Home Secretary.

I think that perhaps Glazier, like myself, knows that you can’t do anything to slow down or halt change. All you can do is gnash your teeth and be unwelcoming and angry about the world as it changes around you. But ultimately, your resistance is futile. Now where have I heard that said before?

I think he is wrong, although he will win ok.

I think the public would favour a ceasefire, why not?

A win, but no 'hearts and minds'.

I agree he is wrong, this is not showing leadership, this is showing weakness in the face of opposition from within his own party.

The nonsense is that the Labour Party position on a ceasefire is irrelevant other than pandering to the shouty voices from the SCG wing .

The issue of a ceasefire is not Starmer's problem, his problem is that he is going to flip flop by proxy based on a vote.

Many thousands would now be alive if Hamas had not committed the massacre on October 7th.

The Gaza Palestinians are suffering terribly under the oppression of Hamas.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

No it doesn't, no one elects a Home Secretary. Also, while I would agree with being uncomfortable with unelected PMs, I have to say....I remember no left wing complaints when Gordon Brown took over.

That’s both really funny and unfortunately true at the same time.

It wasn't in their interest to.

Now they treat it like it's some kind of rallying cry.

Reading her letter for the first time was more than a little disconcerting, as it is so full of venom. On reflection less so. It fits with what has seemed obvious for a while, that she intends to lead the Tory right, has abandoned any pretence of accommodation with the centre, knows the next GE is lost and is preparing to try to lead the party in opposition.

I have little doubt what she says in her letter is broadly true and will be proved to be true. I can also see why it happened, once the context is recalled and why it has been ignored by Sunak.

Sunak was wanted by central office to become PM so the country could be stabilised by him and Hunt, after the disastrous fiasco of Truss. Truss, of course, being put into place after the previous disaster of Johnson, by the unelected members of the Tory Party. Such a disaster could not be allowed again so the process had to be managed via our elected representatives, the MPs.

So making a deal with enough of them to get Sunak over the line needed to be done, rather than allow a lengthy delay to make a bad situation even worse. Urgent action was needed, and was taken.

Her “demands” to secure her support were of a schoolchild level. The kind you might read here on occasions. They are impractical, naive and undeliverable, especially in the circumstances of a financial crisis when the only focus has to be on stabilising the economy. With the knock-on effects of that and the pandemic to cope with everything else takes a backseat. Unrealistic ideas as solutions for intractable problems got binned the moment Sunak was appointed. He had to reappoint Braverman to avoid too many waves at the time but the tensions were obvious.

Now it’s out in the open and the die has been cast. It’s about time and we will see where this ends.

Sunak should resign now.

He has sacked one of the very few popular ministers in his cabinet and has been exposed for the globalist puppet that he is.

According to YouGov she is liked by 15% of people. Only 20% of people felt Sunak was wrong to sack her.

Let's remember that when I posted that Sunak and Hunt had been flown in under pressure from the markets onto the Tory party this very same poster wrote a long post denying the same.

They are company men and pretty awful.
