Which 5 countries? Are you a bankrobber? Edited by hedgehog50 (18 Jan 2017 9.44am)
We have now sunk to a depth at which the restatement of the obvious is the first duty of intelligent men. [Orwell] |

The biggest tw@t to pass comment about Brexit yesterday was Tim Farron.... I thought he was going to burst into tears bless him! The usual SNP yap yap yap from wee Jimmy Krankie as well.... making sure we don't forget her "threat" of Scottish Independence (except that most of the Jocks are too clever to actually vote for it as it would spell financial disaster for Scotland!) ....and the usual suspects spouting the same old bollocks on here.

Good to see the self awareness here.

Could reasonably spell financial disaster for Scotland. Not that that would necessarily stop people voting for something, there is a considered risk to the UK economy, certainly in the short term, that leaving the EU could damage the UK econonmy as well. I don't think it will seriously damage the UK economy, but its very reasonable to consider it will have an impact, certainly in the short term, of being outside the Common Market. Also, in addition, the UK rental market and thus housing market, is heavily based on EU migrants. Removing them from the equation, is likely to result in a drop in rental demand - This is likely to result in property being sold to cover losses (and defaulted buy to let mortgages) and carry over a knock on into the wider housing market (which could in term affect a lot of investment portfolios, banks, building societies etc). So, I wouldn't be too sure that 'financial stability' trumps 'nationalist nonsense' every time. Edited by jamiemartin721 (18 Jan 2017 1.49pm)

THe understatement of the decade jamie! Scotland would be fcuked in a very short time and would fare no better than Greece. Last time they had the referendum on Independence the canny Jocks threw it out... since then Oil revenues have plummeted making it a total non starter on economic grounds now. She knows it too... her current bravado is a bluff to obtain further freebies for devolution.

I don't think Mrs.S is bluffing but she will want to choose the right moment and we are still have 2 years to go.
