If Trump was merely a corrupt businessman with the morals of a mob boss he would still deserve prosecution along with any others. He isn’t though just a corrupt businessman. He is an ex President who tried to usurp the democratic process and retain power illegally. That’s enough, for me, to lock him away for life, bar him from ever running for office again, stripping him of all his assets and gagging him until the process is completed. As to some of the other suggestions recently made in this thread, Biden is indeed a multi millionaire. Like many politicians on leaving office he had lucrative speaking engagements and a book deal, reportedly worth $8 million. Don’t let that though stop some suggesting equivalence with the most corrupt President of all time, Donald Trump. Fauci must have the patience of a Saint given the way he is portrayed in the right wing alternative media of the USA. Something that seems to be gleefully scanned and regurgitated here far too regularly. Yes he, and his wife, are millionaires. He was the highest paid federal employee during the pandemic. Given the nonsense he was subjected to I think he deserved that. He previously held highly paid posts and his wife is also in the industry. He has also received grants for “speaking truth to power”.

If that were true why did he do it? If someone at the lender was complicit does that answer, or raise, questions? Does it matter? Well it being unlawful to do it apparently does, whether or not it affected anyone. Has he missed payments on the loans.

PJW making the reduction of males entering the US military in better terms that I could.....because white male recruitment is down nearly half in five years. Edited by Stirlingsays (13 Jan 2024 4.00pm)

Has he missed payments on the loans. He isn’t charged with missing payments or using the money illegally. The lenders aren’t accused of anything. He is accused of inflating values. Which the Judge has already ruled he did. Whether it hurt anyone is not part of the judgement. The only thing left to assess is the penalty.. Now perhaps you could answer the questions.

PJW, or to give him his full name Paul Joseph Watkins, is a very odd person, with a thoroughly dubious history of conspiracy theories and associations with people most of us would be ashamed to admit we knew:- Those who enthusiastically follow him, and express admiration for his views are associating themselves with one of the nastiest commentators active today.

The guy who wants to deny white people exist and pushed Russiagate wants to complain about 'dubious' conspiracy theories and thinks others are nasty.

Trump urging republican SC judges to 'do their thing'. It's like the UK government here telling the UK supreme court to find in their favour as they were appointed by them. A total crap system, together with their bonkers electoral college. I don't envy Americans their tarnished version of democracy, I don't rate ours either, but tbh we don't really matter. Or their solutions to most of the world's problems foreign problems, mainly to bomb the crap out of everything that moves. They make the Houthis look sensible.

Read the apologist for JPW on here and what is said on Wiki. Then decide for yourself which is more likely to be true. I have absolutely no doubt whatsoever myself. Categorising people by their skin colour and racism are not nice character traits.

Racism....from the guy who called his own tribe 'unique'. Hypocrite. Recognizing that native northern Europeans exist and that they are white is not 'racism'. Saying that they don't exist however or that they should be ashamed to call themselves white.....well, that sounds pretty close to it. Edited by Stirlingsays (13 Jan 2024 9.18pm)

He has an overinflated value of himself and everything he touches. It was unmistakable that he was behind this. Why he needed to overstate the value and size of everything is a good question. It seems he has always done it, creating a fantasy of a hugely successful business that really wasn’t. Why Deutsche Bank went along with it only they can answer but I bet there are questions being asked and people investigated.
