Even if it is a nonce it's unprofessional and unacceptable to hit the defenceless. Apparently this is a counter to the video of the white guy being attacked. It's a false equivalence and quite pathetic. I'm quite confident that those wardens were sacked....lets here what happens to those thugs. Edited by Stirlingsays (05 Jun 2020 5.58pm) This is why everyone needs to simmer down and get some perspective on what has happened and what can happen. Too many imbeciles wondering around not working for my liking atm. Never a good thing.

This is the key factor. Idle hands do the devil's work, especially when they belong to the young and dumb.

It's not counter to anything. It stands on its own. The clip and article is a take on the prison treatment based on race, which is a component of the wider issue at hand. Take a point for what it is rather than trying to unnecessarily draw someone you claim not to want to talk to into to yet another entirely pointless argument. That certainly has no interest to me, or I expect anyone else. Edited by BlueJay (05 Jun 2020 6.24pm) Disingenuous in my view. As you said you'd prefer not to post at me and asked for the same, it would kind of be more consistent if you kept to your own statements....boy. I'll happily do the same. Yep, though there are some encouraging job statistics....though I'd imagine that they are mostly from non rioting states.

Foot in mouth moment for Trump again. ‘’A great day for George Floyd’ near the end of his speech.

Edited by Stirlingsays (05 Jun 2020 7.12pm) I didn't ask you for anything. You seemingly couldn't deal with a conversation we were having about the protests and asked me to post to others instead. I gladly obliged. But if you're going to imagine both that and whatever people are posting is somehow all about you, then that's for you. Now on your way, child.

He even started off by saying ‘’George would be really excited about these (economic) numbers’’ or something. Took some believing he was saying it. He should have his speeches pre-written and checked over. He isn’t verbally fit to be president of America though is he? Still, when you see and hear some of the Electorate you see how he is. Lol

This speaks to the importance of appreciating a wider perspective, with the hope of moving beyond some of these flash points. A world on pause for this long in hindsight was bound to result in something kicking off in society. In a way that's why I've posted a spectrum of the madness we're in from looters, protesters, people fighting against protesters, related issues, humour. There's a lot going on right now - that's an understatement. It's important to have access to a broad view and not solely contributions pushing a very narrow racial perspective that riles people up to the point where they're publicly calling black people third world by nature. That happening does a disservice to us all. Your wider point is right. For all of the chaos going on right now, we all still live and breathe and there is much to be grateful for. When the cogs start turning again, hopefully attention will shift from the streets to the workplace. Job numbers is the US and better than expected, so maybe there's hope for us yet too .
