Whatever anybody says we are in limbo, the club has stagnated and this IMO can only be down to our owners. The ground is the same as it was after so many promises and the squad over the last 3 windows.. well need I say more. It seems if there is a player available on a free he will be linked to us!! Such a shame after so much promise a few seasons ago, well this is Palace after all. IMO we desperately need investment or we will sink, not sure any blame should be heaped on RH as he can only work with what he has.

You are right, but the problem with Roy and we have with Roy is he won’t change one bit. 4-4-2 all the time. No 2nd striker so it’s Zaha as a supporting striker. Someone else out wide who isn’t a wide player. Too many defensive choices. Like for like subs, sometimes more defensive when we’re a goal down. These can be match day issues that over a season don’t cause relegation. But we’ll find out soon if they’re more longer term than one or two matches over four, because if they’re four out of four or 5/5 or 6/6 then Roy has either been worked out by the league, his football is outdated, the players are finally showing how much they’ve been frustrated with his football or all of these. Maybe Camarasa at number 10 will solve all of this, but knowing Roy he’ll play him on the wing, which was a rumour when we signed him. 4-4-2 just fvck off. We aren’t dynamic or strong enough for it. 4-2-3-1 all day for us, but he’ll never do it, so we’ll see if the league have worked us out and if there’s enough time for Sam to rescue us again after however many games.

I think the most worrying thing is when Hodgson hailed the new contract signed by Milivojevic as 'our best signing' Against Sheffield United he was as bad as anyone and very lucky not to get booked. His aggression will result in red cards. His distribution was bad and he does not appear to inspire the team as captain. He took the corners and free kicks which had no variation: a high floater which Benteke couldn't read. it will be interesting to see how he reacts with Cahill who has better leadership qualities. I have a feeling there won't be a place for both.

His lack off aggression is painful to watch, Hopefully Mccarhty can teach him a thing or 2 about getting stuck in and inflicting some pain on the opposition. I agree about his free kicks and corners, they are shocking most of the time. There will be no issue with Cahill and him.

Roy will NEVER change his tactics or his set up. He is like me as I am 76 and do not like to change my way of doing things. He puts 11 players on the pitch and most of them his favourites and will not do substitutions when and if needed unless of course an injury. We need a new young manager that can read a match and change things around when needed. He has had his day I am afraid and I think SP knows it by the look on his face at the last match. SP should act now while things are not too bad and not wait till we are in the bottom three. He should be looking for the new manager now and one that can knock our team into shape and start getting some results. Nothing against Roy but he has had his day and should just be a spectator like us. IFD SP does not change his manager all our worst fears will come to haunt us.
Supported Palace for over 69 years since the age of 7 and have seen all the ups and downs and will probably see many more ups and downs before I go up to the big football club in the sky. |

I would argue the Roy has over achieved since he has been here considering the lack of support in the transfer market, the number of injuries to key players, and the clearly limited squad he has to work with.

This is true, although it’s no good now playing a way that doesn’t get the most out of the players he has by playing a rigid 4-4-2 that doesn’t suit the team with them playing out of position. I suspect susmik might be right and Roy has run his course, but it’s too early to sack him. Parish wouldn’t have a clue who to hire anyway, and would need the advice of someone like Hodgson to do it, but if I were Parish I’d be calling Sam right now and looking into who is available because if Roy doesn’t adapt this shyte system then we are screwed. We’ll see after Villa and maybe/probably a bit longer. But who would want the job who’s experienced right now, and who up and coming would we spend the compensation on and is worth the risk with no budget unless the Americans want us to stay up? Well the board may just stick with sinking with Roy. Fvcking shambles.

You can bet that any manager parish might approach would demand: A right back in January Which are both exactly what we should’ve done in the first place and what we always end up doing in January but costing us more blah blah fvcking boring blah you’re haven’t a football brain or clue mr Parish.

Roy needs to leave, I can't see any other solution. The recruitment policy has also been disgraceful given how well other clubs around us have fared and attracted good players over the last few seasons. Why can't we? Our summer transfer window has been pathetic. We lost AWB. G Cahill and Camerasa aren't going to plaster over the huge problems we have. No strikers who could score in a brothel at this club.

You know I was going to have a rant about the Steve Parish and his mis-handling of the finances and the lack of keeping up with the rest of the Premier with bringing in new blood, But cant really be bothered, I find it sad that a club that should be an established premier league team is still (the majority of the season) languishing in the lower reaches of the division. We can try to blame Roy or Freedman but in all honest IMO the whole problem is brought about by Parish, I am just frustrated as fcuk, Every season I have high hopes until we start to play, Its a really sad state of affairs, And I do belive that Parish's luck will run out this season and relegation beckons
