for what he has ability wise, and what he cost us he is decent enough. this isnt his fault, but he cant be relied on as the main man up top. But at the moment he's the best (Possibly only) option we have. He's performed well this season and generally been consistent, but you are right, he's not the answer to our striking needs.

One of his great assets is that he rarely gives the ball away cheaply - something many of his team mates do all too commonly.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Jordan Ayew' by Midlands Eagle I had a look and apologies if I missed it but can't believe this man hasn't got his own thread. £2M I think it was and he has earned us 14 points with his goals this season. Past that, his work rate is incredible and he seems to just want to accommodate the team as well and is happy playing up top or on the right/left. Anyway, wanted to leave this here as I think Jordan deserves huge praise. This coming from myself, who last year, when he was on loan made the buffoon statement, "I have never disliked a CPFC player until Jordan" How I have eaten my words so here are the new ones. Follow suit as you wish people! COYP

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Jordan Ayew' by Midlands Eagle Well said. I thought he was bobbins last season and he has most certainly turned my opinion round as well. Interestingly he played really well against Newcastle and didn't get the goal he deserved, whereas against Brighton he wasn't great, but got his goal when he got the chance! Basically the inverse of the Newcastle game!

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Jordan Ayew' by Midlands Eagle I think if JA had have left over the summer, we collectively would have shrugged our shoulders, muttered "oh well" and moved on. He's had a n extraordinary season compared to last, probably our best player with the ball at his feet and a contender for "player of the season" for us. Not just the fact he has scored 7 goals, but they have included 2 late winners v WHam, an equaliser v Arsenal, winner v BHA and gave us the lead at Old Trafford. Also very versatile and incredible value at 2ish million.

Jordan Ayew is our best player this season (so different from last season). He started the season playing up front as Roy had no other options and I thought he did very well he scored important goals and his work rate was outstanding defenders hate being chased and harassed. As soon as CB is fit he is moved to the right goals become less frequent he is less effective the team becomes one dimensional and predictable with CB up front.
