...and still, no-one that supports this move has said how they would deal with a load of supporters standing in the middle of the stand who would ruin the view of all those sitting immediately adjacent to them.

Come up with a decent plan for that and maybe there would be a little more support for this half-baked notion.

Absolutely right.
I believe I have made this very point on HOL.

But to hell with supporters being inconvenienced in this manner, to hell with loyal long-term season ticket holders having to give up seats they have occupied for years and supported the club through thick and thin.

At least we will have our flag-waving section centrally in full view of TV cameras and we can all rejoice as pundits drool over our "Unique atmosphere" - not that it has done much for our home results ! Not forgetting their mantra of "Selhurst is a hard place to go to" when our home record has been abysmal. And we will allow the HF branded as the 'Singing section' to continue to flout the ground regulations by their persistent standing. All for the "Greater good" of course.

Good post. I wonder when they all stand up whether the stewards and the old bill will tell them to sit down.

We have always been quoted as being one of the best atmospheres in the Premiership. The "unique atmosphere" is something that the fans have bestowed on themselves

It is a hard place to go to if you want to go by car

This is an excellent and passionate post.
Every word of which gives a perfect appraisal of the whole fiasco.

I’d expect everyone will be up standing when the ball is in the box at The Holmesdale end, which probably happens a lot now, well when we attack it anyway.

I suppose one could post exactly the same about the same old 4 or so people who all keep telling everyone else that at a Premiership football match, the ATMOSPHERE from 180 people is more important than 400 people WATCHING the football.

I suppose you would have to be there too

Technically, there haven't been any Premiership matches for a few years now.......

All good. Nothing bad.

On a side note, a friend of mine recently went to a PSG match and said the atmosphere was the best he'd ever witnessed. This will add to the match day experience (imo).

Which I suppose has nothing to do with how PSG is marketed...

I have too, without receiving the answer to, what will be, a permanently standing, view obstructing section that will affect the whole Lower Holmesdale. And anyone who actually believes that they'll stay at the back of Block E (including Parish) displays a childlike naivety.
