Every time I see there's been an update to this thread I eagerly open it to see whether anyone has some breaking news, or even some inside news that the deal is nearly done. Here's my contribution in the 'bumped thread with no useful news' category. I do exactly the same thing, and now by commenting on that, I've probably caused 200 other Palace fans to open the link, one or two of which will comment and then I'll open it again... its a vicious circle. It gets a bit tiresome, truth be told. Yet here we are

Double signing happening this week. Shrewdy Steve Parish has Cabaye signed but 2nd Signing about to happen so to save on sandwiches and refreshments a press conference will only happen once the 2nd player has signed.Dont you just love CPFC2010 and how they like to save money.

I overheard Cabaye talking to his agent in the Beckenham Wimpy and he was saying that he's not signing until the Yohan Cabaye thread on HOL reaches 1,000 posts. He also loves a Wimpy's 'Bender in a Bun' and will be having it written into his contract that these are served at both the training ground and at half time for home games. OMG, there's still a Wimpy in Beckenham!!!!

I think there ought to be a HOL competition for the least relevant comment on the Cabaye thread. Or maybe someone ought to write a song about waiting for Cabaye news. To the tune of "Waiting For a Girl Like You" by Foreigner - So long It feels so right, in red and blue Maybe I'm wrong I've been waiting for some Cabaye news Ok...I got bored.

It's episodes like these which make me miss the days of no twitter. Back then a signing was a signing when you're club announced it and you were usually none the wiser. Now every tom dick and bellend agent starts spouting their mouth off in 140 characters and everyone has a mental hissy fit when we don't even know if we were ever going to sign someone in the first place. Some fool says they have seen a player in a hospital in london, another idiot reads this nonsense then goes and put's a monkey down on player x to join team y. Then the bookies go oh he know's something we have to slash the odds of player going to said team. Queue mass hysteria when it turns out that player x was in fact in the Carribean on a cheeky holiday. Why is everyone so bloody impatient.

So I manage a Workshop which provides a safe learning environment for blokes struggling with PTSD and other mental health issues. Being a Palace fan isn't listed yet. |
