This post will get lost in the throng of other more meaningful discussion, but some individuals on here need to seriously re-evaluate their attitude on this thread. Acting like a spoilt brat isn't big or clever. It's embarrassing. Mod hat off.

i'm stunned at some of the people/posts on here. it ranges from s***, stupid, repetitive questions being asked, to people complaining that their questions weren't answered (mine weren't, my toys are still in the pram) to people recommending Steve 'keep his mouth shut' and others damning it a publicity stunt! ...unbelievable. And i'm sorry, but i have to say it: Prin_cpfc, you have come across as a right spoiled, unreasonable, attention-seeking brat. I have no idea how old you are but if you're anything over 17 years old, it's very worrying. Pathetic. Stay away Monday and try to grow up.
Plus, I wasn't really looking to enter a discussion with you- i made my judgement based on what you have said over the course of this thread and not what you are about to say in response to that judgement. Have a nice day.
From what I have read, you obviously need to get off your high horse. I tell you what though, I will go on Monday and I'll cancel my season ticket. One less out of the 13k that go won't make a difference, eh?
Is the most sensible thing you have said to date.
Your a bird, on a football website, talking bollicks and your surprised your getting grief. Surely their must be an X factor, or strictly re run on telly somewhere for you to watch. P.s. If this is the sort of thing you post as your status then I would suggest it tells us all we need to know about you Think I'll get a season ticket at Croydon Athletic next season. Their fans aren't jumped up pricks that think they know you. Isn't a flounce, just fed up with jumped up pricks. Shaaaaaaaaaaaaadddd appppppppp

maybe it would be more sensible in the future to have an arrangement where all questions were PM'd to moderators who would then post the sensible ones up for CPFC 2010 to answer in a locked topic with only the moderators and CPFC 2010 able to post but everyone able to view? Edited by eaglescpfc123 (02 Jan 2011 12.33pm) Totally agree - Ive just surfed through 50 pages purely reading the CPFC2010 posts ! And the first SW2 post which was quite good. Communication is the key to every single type of relationship in life so all those criticising Steve for coming on here please think how you'd feel with nothing whatsoever - of course he cant answer every question and judging by all the pointless arguing and self-justification that goes on here Im amazed he did at all ! For the record, I like to see managers given time and I think George Burley is a decent guy who got us playing a passing game so some real positives there, but as has been said this is a results business and its not even as if the losses have been close with us fighting all the way... im sorry George couldnt do it but on reflection I think a change had to happen.
You'll be forever in my family's memories and it was an honor and privilege to play and lead in the red and blue |

Out of interest, how many people who criticised CPFC2010 for the decision to sack Burley were at the Millwall game? I've heard complete supporters of Burley walk away from that game and say he had to be sacked. Trust me, if you were there, you'd fully understand the decision. They looked absolutely lost out there, there was no game plan, the confidence was at an all time low, when the 2nd went in with 25 mins left they looked like they'd conceded in the 94th minute. And it wasn't knee-jerk, it was the final straw of a talented squad's failure to progress. And if you're still not convinced, here's another point. The games we've won this season: Every single one of those games (including Portsmouth because they had a goal debatably ruled out at 1-1) we as fans have walked away and said, you know what, on another day we'd have lost that. The only possible exception is Doncaster, but they'd gone something like 6 games losing in a row. So for us to get a win, after 6 months in charge, we're expected to be incredibly lucky or have a team losing 6 on the bounce visit us? Give over, this team wasn't going anywhere but down. That's without the bloody lucky draws against Burnley and Cardiff. So the only result we've geninely deserved was a draw at Bristol City? It's a results business, and he wasn't getting them.
Lets get behind dougie.Mahoosive game tommo.

I can't believe that Mr Parish was still on here at gone 2am last night, specifically answering SW2's points personally, and he's still moaning like a kid who's had his sweets nicked. SW2 - if you're still unhappy, go and talk to SP yourself tomorrow. He offered to meet with you, why don't you take him up on the offer? Then come back on here and report how it went. Have you got the bottle to challenge your misconceptions? Or will you just stay on here whining and thinking you know better than the people who put their money where their mouths are and know the club from the inside? I believe this was a genuine offer from SP. Either take him upon it and hear it from the horse's mouth, then come and tell us how it went, or stop bloody moaning. You're sounding like a broken record - if you refuse to meet SP like he offered, your argument will carry no validity whatsoever. Will you do it?
My argument carries a great deal of validity - because I've made a number of points that nobody has been able to answer. My intenion was not to extrat a reply from Mr Parish - just to express my opinion, which I have done. The only reason I have continued to repeat certain aspects of my opinon is that people have criticised without being able to answer my points. The facts are there for all to see. I believe Mr Parish's invitation was a genuine one as well - as I've already explained to him in person - I don't want to waste his time asking him the same questions I've already asked. I've also said that we need to move on now. However, if other posters continue to challenge my opinion - I have every right to continue my discussions further, just as you have the right to either ignore them or enter into them. I'm not challenging Mr Parish to come on here again or to answer me further - I think I've learned all I need to from what he has had to say so far. I'm disappointed with some of it - that's just the way it goes.

IF you must insist on ignoring the bit in bold and dragging this on, see how your two statements in red completely contradict one another. Is it a case of "do as I say, not as i do" ?** **HINT: That is a rhetorical question.

Listen, I think you made your points and it is fair for you to disagree with the decision. I think Steve answered your arguments pretty well and from mostly agreeing with you yesterday I can say it helped that he was pretty blunt in what he said about our current situation. For me, the key word in his reply was "progress" . Like you, I think a manager can need a long time to shape a squad to the way he wants to play, but even if the results aren't there, there must be a sign that continual progress is being made. We have had a number of false dawns this season and, for me, there was simply too much fear and not enough urgency in many of our displays. I badly wanted it to turn around. I think a fully confident squad could have thrived under a fully confident Burley, but it wasn't to be.
