I'm glad you put a smiley face on the end of that because it is a laughable viewpoint. It's not really is it. We naturally rebel against our parents from our teenage years. Including not sharing the same politics as them. This isn't only visable in humans but is also prevelant in the animal world, when you see young tigers and other big cats start to rebel against their parents as they start to become more indepecent and leave the herd. It's just a natural course to take.

Some interesting chatter out there about the possibility of a serious leadership challenge against Sunak starting to build momentum.=. Not sure if they could seriously pull off another change of PM without a GE (although nothing, as I understand it constitutionally, to prevent it happening) but let's see. At this stage, NOTHING would surprise me with this Conservative Party.

In the final analysis, "Suicide Sunak" is an unelected PM, he was also not elected as leader of the party by the membership and he has just appointed an unelected Foreign Secretary. Furthermore his Chancellor, Health Secretary and Foreign Secretary are all EU loving "Remainers". Edited by Willo (14 Nov 2023 2.17pm)

It's just a natural course to take. But then, the natural course, is that the young'uns grow up and become like the adults, producing the next generation that will grow up to rebel against their parents, and so on. The age gap has happened over generations upon generations. My ex-services Dad used to despair of his long haired New Romantic son and considered the world to be going down the toilet. Not much has changed in that 50-60 years (and the speed of change has always been pretty staggering. Incredibly we used to rebel and socialise all without the help of mobile telephony or computers - other than those rich ones who had a calculator) except, perhaps, that young New Romantic has become a bit of an Old Romantic as he's matured.
Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry. |

Also, it's not rocket science to suggest that a certain amount of older people who voted for Brexit in 2016 would have expired by now. That's just nature taking it's course. Not really saying anythig that can be taken as a sweeing generalisaqtion. It's been polled and is all there with a simple search on Google. I can help you with that if you're not too offay with technology You “ think “ - if you are going to state your thoughts as facts then I “ think “ you need to back them up accordingly. Thank you for your kind offer to assist in Googling. I don’t need it as my background is providing IT automated solutions to Financial Institutions. So I think I can manage. However I would be grateful for you to do a copy and paste from Google which backs up what you are claiming.

Hopefully Labour will be able to get the NHS back to somewhere close to the record high satifaction ratings that they had it at before the Tories came in and absolutely sh*t on it and brought it to it's knees, along with all of the public services. How do you imagine they will do that? The issue with the NHS is largely about the amount of extra people it has to serve and their age.

Pretty sure the NHS hasn't gone from performing at it's peak ever performance in 2010 to being at total breaking point in 2023 based on a population increase of around 5 million.
