Out of interest, why do you believe that ?

Because when you get to a certain age, you aren’t the future anymore and so you shouldn’t really have a say in shaping a future that you won’t be a part of. Makes total sense to me. The youth of today are already suffering because of a Brexit vote which wouldn’t be the same if voted on today, because a lot of the people who
voted to get it over the line are no longer with us. That’s not right really is it? . We don’t seem to learn from our mistakes in this country though.

Bloomin' Eck. This is why "enlightened" progressives are such a liability. They think they know it all.

Just out of interest (and I'm having a wild guess that you're not yet at the age that you shouldn't have a say on the future of the generations that you've already raised to BE that future) what age do we become too old to have a say?

And, this is me having a wild guess as well, I bet you would not consider yourself too old when you reach whatever random age you deem to remove the vote as by that time your wisdom should be shared, only to be a leading light for the generations following you.

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry.

What's the '' certain age '' ?

I'm a father and grandfather. So any vote I cast would be thinking about their future primarily.

I could contend that at 18 years old you don't have sufficient life experience to have an informed political opinion. So maybe that age should be revised upwards ??

I don't agree with your take on the Brexit vote. Are you saying that the majority of the people that voted Leave just a few years ago are now dead ?

And what are the mistakes that this country hasn't learned from ?

If I vote it'll be for 'Reform', if they field a candidate.

'Conservative minded people have no friends in Westminster. They keep voting every five years for people who spit on them from a great height.' (Peter Hitchens)

You don't have to agree with everything a party says to know which side your bread is buttered.

oh yes you are being disrespectful....at what age do you think people should no longer be allowed to vote, guessing youre about 19 -20?? As far as I can see she said nothing wrong....suppose you just want to allow anyone and everyone into the country to live
on benefits? Who is gonna pay for that, you? Do you have a job?

He's also pushing the idea that opinions don't change with age brackets, which are there for a reason to chart how that's exactly what does happen.

He also ignores or doesn't care that leavers were denied a vote on EU membership for forty years. Despite many calls for it and despite poll numbers looking in their favour many times. If there is justice the same ignorance towards their calls will be applied to them.....Unfairness sucks doesn't it remainers.

The only demographic who will steadfastly keep the same voting preference will be minorities.....because a high majority of them are instinctively against the ruling culture......something you find worldwide.

Maybe they should stop pension payments just so all the old people die. Which ironically you will be one day. How very sad that you come on here preaching freedom for all yet don’t like old people.

I would perhaps be prepared to not be able to vote if I can also stop having to pay taxes.

No taxation without representation the American colonists cried.

I think it should be no representation without taxation.

LOL.

So much common sense.
