Bloody shame our owners won’t stomp up the cash. Conor and Palace are a perfect fit.

It would be better business to sign two other players for the price of this one. Even if Palace signed him he wouldn't be around long and not enough about him to justify 40m+

The Telegraph is reporting that Gallagher has rejected a £40 million move to Everton as he only wants a permanent move to a top club.

£25m in the summer should be enough to secure him.

it seems he didn't want to sign for Everton at all, he did want to sign for us as a loan only but Chelsea said no, i think Dreamraverider is right, his price will go down not up
“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn |

I think had Benfica not strung Chelsea out all day and, thus, the Fernandez saga ran and ran that we might have ended up with Conor yesterday, but his departure from Chelsea was always predicated on Fernandez coming in first and, in the end, time simply ran out. The Lokonga loan, late in the day, tends to support this. We seemingly went in for him at the eleventh hour, probably only when it finally became clear that Conor wasn't going to happen for the reasons above. But the three-month Lokonga loan suggests that, once again, we're keeping our powder dry for one final push for Conor in the summer window. It's now quite clear that Chelsea is prepared to let him leave for the right money, and equally clear that we desperately want him. Either way, this needs to be put to bed. We now know what he'll cost (based on the accepted Everton bid) so we need to go in when the summer window opens (not on deadline day) with the right money and sign him or not. And then move on fast, with him or without him.

I would love to know the striker we were supposedly after?

I have no idea why anyone would want to go to Everton, And that includes Dyche, Lamps et al. right mess of a club, who currently looked doomed.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |
